My friend from online for many years just lost her dad to cancer. He was in the hospital for awhile this year, I think since like May at least. Lost so much weight and they couldn't even do treatment cause his weight went down too much too fast. Now he is dead. It makes me cry alot, sitting here in tears. Half of it cause I'm worrying about my dad too right now who put off his DR appt so I could get my surgery in first and now they post poned his appt til Sept 14, so he has to wait another month! I'm so mad. I just hope he doesn't loose more weight, he's lost so much too I'm worried he also has cancer--again and now won't make it either if they wait too long.

Sorry for your loss tariqahmad. There is nothing worse than losing a loved one, some of us never get over it. Words can't express how it feels, you are right. God bless you and your family.

I know you must hurt for your friend, and it can't help but remind you of your own father. My dad has had cancer too, but I try to think every time he goes for a checkup that I shouldn't worry until I have something to worry about. So let's pray your dad turns out okay.

I am so sorry for your friends loss. That is awful. As for your father, do not feel guilty about anything. He did what any good father would do, put his child before himself and there was nothing you could do to change his mind I am sure. I am praying for him and my husband will be too. Keep your faith and keep praying for him. Miracles do happen and I hope it happens for your father.

NailTech, I'm so sorry about your friend's Dad. It is a very sad thing. And about your father, too, I feel bad for you. If you believe in prayer I will pray. I guess that's the only thing to be done. Too bad your Dad has to wait so long for his appt. Maybe he'll stay the same until then. It's sad when your friends & people you care about are having problems when there's nothing you can do. Except pray. And try to express sympathy and caring in words. It hardly seems enough. I'm sorry you're sitting there crying. I think maybe you and your friend need each other right now. I'm sure you're keeping in touch. But she will most likely be busy with the arrangements. You can always come to mylot for sympathy and words of friendship & kindness. Try to find a bright spot somewhere in your day. You might find it right here in mylot!

Thanks for the condolences, I am really feeling sorry for her though. My own dad is just so thin, I worry he has advanced cancer this time that can't be fixed. He has had it twice, skin and esophagus. I will be praying alot as always and not just when I want some help either. I do keep in touch with my friend on FB.

Sorry to here that. With regards to your Dad, just don't think that it's like he has a Cancer. Always think positively. Sometimes, we attract negative thing when we think of it. Have a great day and hope that everything will be fine in your family and more happiness for you and your family. God bless.

Yes I have heard that many times that we attract negative things sometimes f we think that way. But also I noticed when we don't think of it too. Thanks for the comment though, I try to stay positive when I can.

I think that there are few things in life that are worse than losing one of your parents. One of the best things that you can do for your friend is to simply be there for her because there are going to be times that she is going to need someone to talk to. With that said, when it comes to your father, my guess would be that they aren't really too concerned with him and that is the reason that they put off his doctor's appointment off for that long. I will definitely keep your father in my thoughts.
