Hello fellow mylotters Is anyone here familiar to elance??? well i have made an account there a few weeks back but the jobs i apply for are never given to me. They always say the bid is too high or that i lack the desired perseption. Can you guys help me making my elance account special so that they dont reject my offer without seeing my work? Please advise!

I am also a member of this site, i joined this site about one month ago, but until now, i have not gotten any jobs yet. Well, maybe as others say, there are too high competitions there and i am not so good to be chosen. But i think that all things are dificult before they are easy. So don't lose your heart, and try to do more tests and make your profile excellent. Of course, the most important thing is to when you get the first job, try your best to do it, then after you get a good feedback, everything will become easy, i think.

i'm a member of elance and odesk too..i'm a BSN undergrad and a housewife..i kept on searching, bidding on jobs that best suits me..competing w/ degree holders and experienced members is hard and employers prefers to hire them than people like me.so sad..

I tried elance and odesk. Both sites are very hard to make money unless you are very good, skillful and have high ratings on those sites. It is not easy to make money there.

The benchmark is set far too high in sites like Elance, where they expect professional journalistic copy for work that pays pennies a page. I upped my game and found a proper UK-based copy-writing job with a respected media company, who get the work and then allocate it to their freelancers. I've been learning the ropes as I go, and never looked back.

Even I have tried elance and odesk and never get any job from both sites. These websites requires a high profile. I think you should try some other online work.
