Hi myLot users! Its nice to come across such a wonderful site where thoughts are paid. I joined myLot some 7 hours back and browsed many pages, went thru FAQ, guidelines and gave many friend requests etc. The site seems to engage the people who are most interested in typing to share their ideas. I also see many people share personal life on daily basis. Its nice to get suggestion by posting you query when you are confused! I appreciate this! Let me start with the myLot user count that I see at the bottom of all the myLot pages. When I joined, the count was 244,590. Probably I might be person who raised the count from 244,589 to 244,590. Now the count is 244,598. It nice to see the count raises with respect to time. But I have a small doubt in this count. Is this the active count of the myLot users? I'm not sure! Like this, have you ever monitored any particular thing in myLot and shared it?

Welcome aboard! The myLot population count includes ALL of the accounts ever opened here, including those who have since lost their account either because they cancelled it themselves or because admin thought it best to delete it due to violations committed. The number also includes those who create an account for the sole purpose of creating or completing the tasks. Many of those users are indeed active but do not participate in the discussions. If you are here daily you will notice who are the active users that regularly participate and add their thoughts to the topics - and there are many of us I can assure you! Happy Lotting and thank you for the friend request

A discussion talking about me? I am aware of one from a long time ago but nothing recent. I am also aware that many users, especially the newer ones, often mistake my comments as rude but later most of them then change their opinion... well that is what they say

I agree that it would serve a better purpose if we knew how many of that number still have accounts here. I would also like to be able to see a list of the most recent new members, say the last 10 for example, like happens on the homepage of several sites as well as an 'online now' button for those who are actually here (though many might be like me and be logged in though not actually at the computer which could confuse things I guess).

Diana! I'm still left with 7 more hours to complete a day here. @ Lampar! of these quarter million accounts many say that 2 - 3 % will be active. In that case we have very few people comment on our post!

Well, some people run away from myLot, is not the right statement... You see, expressing one's thoughts in writing is quite a lot for some people.. Such people can't remain active here.. They just come here, see things and find it real hard to write their thoughts (I know one such example) and so they get inactive in a day or two... Thats fine, I guess... :-)

Pearl! When we take the reason for inactiveness of the users here, we need to understand that everyone i.e 244,631 as of now is active! :-)

Hi Pearl! Thanks for your positive points on me! 6 years of time span is a great deal when people ran out from myLot at very short time!

Hi yuga! It is about 1 hour from your last comment! Is it okay if we do not respond to the questions that a user raised? If that is the case, will yuga's previous response will be paid by the myLot team? Please advice!!

Some of us respond and then get called away because the phone rings, the doorbell rings, hubby needs feeding etc. but then we come back later. Some of us just throw out a response and leave it at that sadly though The more we discuss then the more we should earn, if our comments are forwarding the topic and considered as 'quality' when earnings are calculated.

Welcome to mylot. If a mylotter is inactive but his account is not banned or closed himself, then yes, he is counted on the population. There are some members who are banned and authority has closed their accounts, then they are not here in population. Have a nice time.

Hi Lamb .. So you were saying that a bunch of population here isn't showing the correct number of active users, rite? I haven't seen a page that show how many people online in mylot at that time.

Juli! That is what Lamb is saying! We cannot trace that count here without the help of myLot admins! Let myLot admin listen to this and take some innovative step to introduce it!

Hi, if my memory serves me well, three years ago, myLot community is less than 100,000. I remember many myLoters counting each days registered members as it comes close to a six digit value. I would say 10 to 15 percent of the 240,00 members are active in this site. That would mean about 20K to 30K myLot members who are enjoying this site. And there are millions of reasons why members here left or stop using myLot. But for me, I left for almost 3 years and had come back to enjoy myLoting.

You are right , Moulee.. You just have been here for couple days and have writen many discussions! It seems you are enjoying what you are doing right now without worrying about making money, rite? Well, then the number of non active members isn't important anymore if you still have many friends responsed to your discussions :) Have a good day, Moulee! :)

Hi sajeev! I came across the tasks in myLot. Some tasks say that registration will get you some cents. Like that, is it happening with myLot? I mean, do other online paying site takes over myLot for registering here?

Hi Ravisivan! I just gave an opinion about the active users that too people who are logged in at present! I think that will increase overall reputation of this site and some more inactive users will turn active by getting such information in mail or thru their myLot friends!

Hello moulee, Mylot population is actually the number of users registered here. No doubt the population of Mylot is increases with fast rate but the ratio of active users is less as there are many members who just registered here and left the site writing just few responses.

Yes sjvg! I can seem many users who's last activity is more then 3 or 4 months! Also points next to their id is not even crossed 100!
