Why do you write?

I think it's good that you realize where you are because that's the only way to continue toward your dream. I think we all go through a time when we think we're better than we are, then have to pay for it when we realize we have a lot of work to do. Don't let it discourage you. Good writers are made, not born.

The creative writing instructor always said, "Practice, practice, and discipline is the key." Don't give up on something that makes you think constantly, smile, or any other emotion. I know that its wrong to ease drop but go to a cafe, sit there order a drink and listen to people. Some authors get ideas from that, or go out side and paint what you see in words instead of drawing it. Writing is a learning journey. Don't give up, even improving the skill you still have it in you.

I write to make money, and I also write for fun, I've kind of been concentrating on writing for money because there are things I really want to buy but don't have the money for it right now.

Hi do you read writer digest? me I enjoy writing short stories and as you see my spelling and grammer is very bad that other reason im here on my lot to inporve my skills I have not sold any of my ebooks yet trying to find a friend to profe read them for me but the main reason I write is it relxing and soon I get my typeing speed up right i only type 5 words per minute I think i might be up 6 words now I do have a typeing program on my note note bk .have a good day.

You can be a great writer. Just believe in yourself that you can do it. Practice more by writing short stories, whether based on your own experiences or just anything that you fancy. Compile every material that you had written in the past. This will be your guide as to how much improvement you've made. Before I used to write poems and I compile it. There were times that I made short stories but I never get to finish them. How I wish I could one of these days. If I may suggest, if you really want to improve on this craft, always have a pen and paper handy because you'll never know when a very good idea strike your mind. I wish you well.

Writing can be frustrating at times however you should not give up! I have a friend who sees an article or short story in just about all that he sees or witnesses throughout every day. He gave a ride to a hitch hiker one day and believed he could write a short story about his conversation with that individual. I have written articles while sitting watching the changing sunset colors above my country home, things that my animals do or just what I feel about certain things. Write - write - write! Your word processing program should help with your spelling and grammar also. I use mine all the time. It will help you learn proper grammar and improve your writing skills each time you use it. Be encouraged, ENJOY yourself and if the thoughts don't come out as you want them to, set it aside and try something else and then come back to it later that day or week. You will be surprised what can happen. Sometimes I just write everything that goes through my head at certain times and then later I can separate the thoughts and put them into some type of form for an article or short story! The various writing sites that you have registered with is the place for you to practice writing. That is where I feel you will strengthen your base.
