hi everyone...
Bathroom is an essential part of our life. Usually i dont bath inside it but i know, there are many people who like to bath inside. Most often Bathrooms are found wet and this is the cause to slip. have you ever slipped in bathroom?
Yesterday, i came from market in the evening and took bath. I just used soap and suddenly got slipped. There is a small wall inside my bathroom where my chin stroke and i got hurt. Immediately i went to hospital and now there is three stitches on my chin.
Hope no one has experienced like me.

so sorry to hear what happened to you shib. but i hope you are now fine and recovering. yeah, this is just one part of our house that is almost always slippery because this is always wet. we have experienced slipping before but not to the point one should be sent to the hospital. now we already use something to prevent an accident like this. we placed a device on the bathroom floors, something like made of rubber, to prevent slipping on that wet surface.

i guess you don't have to thinking about it, you should do it now and wait no more that someone will get an accident again. take care.

Hi Neil...
Yes, i am fine now and almost recovered though stitches are not removed. My mom once slipped near water basin and her hand broke. Now she is cure and no pain but there is a bend on her hand. I am also thinking to use rubber mat to avoid slip.
Have a nice time.

That's too bad that you had a slip like that and had to get stitches, bathrooms are an easy target for falling though. I have slipped in the bathtub before and landed on my kneecap, it was sore for a few days but didn't do any kind of serious damage or anything like that.

Hi Shib, you must be careful when bath using soap. I had heard a few of my friends who experienced accidents while bath using soap, too. In fact, it is quite dangerous to slip and drop inside bathroom. In my home, we installed the anti-slip rubber mat, to prevent anyone from slipping. In my parents home, they installed the rough tiles, which is good to prevent slipping as well. Hope by now, you are on your way to getting well after taking medicine and rest. Remember to install the anti-slip rubber mat, for prevention of slipping.

Hi friend...
I am always careful but dont know how i hit on the wall and my chin got wounded. I shall buy rubber mat to avoid slipping. It is really dangerous. I have no tile inside my bathroom. I am fine now and the wound is healing. Thanks for wishes.
Have a nice time.

Of course once. My bathroom consists of one part only, consisting of a water bath and closet. So often wet. I clean the floor every week. Remnants of soap and shampoo on the floor, becoming slippery when wet.
Get-well

Hi shibham,
In this rainy season the stiches might take a little longer to heal. So just make sure you apply the oinment/medicines (if given by the doctors) and also do the regular cleaning / dressing up of it.
After reading all the above, i think using a mat is another solution for this slippery problem. I do clean the bathroom every day / second day as we all take our bath in bathroom only dear...
Get well soon...

Hi Viju..
No, here is no rain from days and my wound is healing slowly. Hope, i will be able to remove stitches after 3-4 days. I am taking medicine but avoided the pain killer that doctor prescribed, just taking antibiotic.
Yes,i am thinking to use rubber mat.
Have a nice time.

Hello Shibham,
Hope you are doing better now. I am glad I didn't experience any such incident in my life. Recently my dad slipped in the bathroom while trying to get up from the wooden stool. Luckily he didn't get injured. Do take care of yourself. Have a good day!

shib, sad to hear about this, hope you are fine now. I think your injury is high, so only you are in need for 3 stitches. Always i take bath inside the bath room and have some slipping activities too, but i don't faced high injuries due to it

Well till now neither me nor any member of my family has hurt himself/herself after falling in a bathroom. I have slipped quite a few times, but luckily never fell down. Always got something to hold or support whenever I have slipped.
Take rest and be careful from next time. Recover soon.

As far as I can remember, the only time that I was slipped in the bathroom is that when I was drunk in my college year. I really don't know how I slipped as I was drunk during that time. It may be the soap, lost of balance or something, I don't really know whats the cause. The only thing I know of is the blood oozing down my forehead as it hit the bathroom tiles. It I would look carefully in the mirror, I know there a little scar there to remind me of that experience.

Aw! that is sad mamu
Buddy, get well soon.
I never enter the bathroom with any slippers on (at least in my home) and when at others' place, I am more careful. I had fallen in the bathroom many years earlier, it was because of being wet and had a few stitches on the head. My paternal grandfather suffered from a haemmorrage after slipping in the bathroom and hitting the pipes. He later succumbed to this haemmorrge. Better be safe. We do not use any electric gadgets in the bathroom and also dont use slippers to be safer.
Get well soon dear.

Because of the tile material that is used in the bathroom it really gets slippery when wet. However, there are anti-slippery mats that are being sold to avoid such accidents like yours.
I am very concerned about this. There are rough tiles that are used in the bathroom so that people don't slip. I never had an experience like yours and i hope it won't happen to you again.

Oh my, I hope you're okay now. Slip ups in bathrooms are common reasons for household accidents. To prevent this, I bought a rubber mat to be placed right on the floor so even if it gets wet, it wouldn't be slippery because rubber will be the friction between our feet and the wet floor. I just bought a roll of that in ACE Hardware and I can cut it in any length I want. I just make sure to clean it up twice a week to avoid the growth of molds and mildew. And if it's been there for like 2 or 3 weeks I just throw it away and lay down a new one.

I am fine Raine and taking medicine. I asked my mom that night that either i will use rough tiles or mat to prevent such accidents. More dangerous accident may happen if we fall like that way. You have a nice option there and i appreciate it.
Have a nice time.
