Wow just saw this in the yahoo sports news that Dwight Howard is now with the Lakers, i thought they just acquired Nash and it was a great addition already but then they do get Dwight wow this is really going to be an exciting year for the Lakers and i fear for all teams out there, if Dwight is in great health and Nash blends well with Kobe and no clamor happens in the locker then I think and believe that Kobe is to get at least two more rings before he is done in the NBA.

Yeah, Dwight can bring in some great work on defense for the Lakers. Though I am sad to see Bynum go, I do welcome the fact that he is replaced by Dwight Howard. My best wishes to big Bynum. I do believe that having Nash in the team can really make things easier to remove the clash of egos in L.A. Steve Nash is so good with distributing with his teammates so I think there will be no problem with that. I just want to see Dwight Howard focusing on defense to help them win the championship. As Kobe said, two or three more year and the L.A. team will be his. So better make the most of doing a great supporting role first to win championships. I think that with the Lakers organization, Dwight Howard will get into the best that he potentially can be. He is up to follow the footsteps of the great centers from L.A. I can't wait to watch this team dominate.

Yeah you said it all my friend i just hope the big three of Miami heat will get someone to help them out because if they meet up with the lakers in the finals they will have a hard time underneath the boards because now the lakers are to big strong and not short of fast and explosive.

Go Lakers and BIG welcome to D Howard and S Nash. This is Howard's time to leave his basketball foot prints in the annals of basketball history. The coming season will be as exciting and unpredictable as ever up until the play offs. But lahre are the biggest threat to Miami

Hi there smiling, Well yeah the Lakers have welcomed two new powerful additions to there roster and is really setting up to be some super showtime for the Lakers now Kobe is given more time to rest since the scoring and facilitating load would be less of a burden for him now that he has a scoring and passing point guard in Nash and the teams defense even more tighter since there is Dwight in the middle to swipe anything flying near the rim and also put up point for the team which is most of the time explosive and would bring the team some more spark with Dwight's intensity..

Dwight is a great addition to the Lakers. I am seeing a Lakers-Heat 2013 NBA Finals. The Lakers is now the team to beat in NBA aside from Heat. The move is big advantage to Lakers because I think Nash will bring the best out of Dwight and Gasol. Kobe will just play the way he plays plus the addition of Antawn Jamison, the team is really good. It would also be interesting to see how they battle-out with West defending champ, Thunders. Can't wait for the season to start.

Good trade for the Lakers. I hope Howard stays healthy. I'm hoping they would go all the way to the finals. I'd love to see the match up between Lebron James and Kobe Bryant in the finals.

Yeah you said it chuckster, Lebron against, kobe wade against kobe, Rashard against Gasol and Bosh agaisnt Howard wow dont know were to put the matchups there since there are way to many palyers to matchup against with. But Most likely this is what will see Bosh - Howard Lewis - Gasol James - MWP Wade - Bryant Allen - Nash Maybe but most likely ALlen wont be playing at point.

This was definitely big news. I was surprised to see them hang onto Gasol. The big question for them there is, will Pau play for this team like he did at the Olympics for Spain or like he did in the playoffs last year? The only really concern for them in the west now is OKC and I think they are capable of winning that. Whether they do or not remains to be seen.

You said it koopharper, OKC is still a threat and it will be hard for them if along the way Nash and Dwight cant keep themselves healthy till play-off time but I guess everything will be light for everybody right now for the Lakers because at any given day anyone of them can take over scoring and this will help in relaxing the other scorer for the next game.

seen this in the news too, I think I'm going to switch teams now.

Hi there Jaelbawan, You forgot to specify which team you liked before, were you a Lakers fan before or for others teams in the NBA because i wouldn't know what your reaction mean mean till you say what your team is, take care fellow lotter.

As a Lakers fan I was really excited by the prospect of Kobe and Dwight playing on the same Team. Keeping Pau Gasol and acquiring Steve Nash and Antwan Jamison makes them such a potentially great Team. I would not be surprised if the Lakers going on a two straight Championship Team.

just read the article too at yahoo sports. Kobe has telephoned Dwight expressing his joy of having the latter as his new teammate, Which is a very good gesture.

This sure makes things a lot more interesting in the upper echelon of the NBA. Before this deal, the path looked about as straightforward as it could for Miami to repeat as champions. Then they added Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis to address one of their needs: outside shooting. However, for the Lakers to get Howard and not have to give up Gasol as well in the process makes the Lakers clear favorites in the west along with the Thunder. Certainly, the Thunder will improve with another year of experience under their belts and Eric Maynor returning will give them a boost. Sure, the Lakers are on the older side with some of their stars. However, the way I can see the Laker players together will be something to behold if they live up to their potential. The question will be whether that chemistry can be formed and be powerful enough to get them past OKC in the West and Miami in the Finals (merely a prediction at this point of course). It sure seems as if we are in for another entertaining season in the NBA next season.

You said it sports economics, the times have changed and the tides has come in bigger waves as the teams in the NBA revamp there line-ups but the lakers sure did a big number on that adding two great players on there positions in Howard and Nash, well for the other teams like the champs Miami another steady big guy should help in there conquest to victory I suggest a young big that can run and aint afraid to take the hits because if you ask me The lakers now are just too big too strong and to explosive compared to there current lineup. I think they should get Lamar.

I still personally believe that the Heat and the Thunder are better than the "New" Lakers. The big 3 on both the Heat and Thunder are all on in their prime while Nash and Kobe are drifting away from top players in the league. Not to mention who are the subs going to be? I mean Kobe and Nash certainly won't be able to put in 45 minutes of work in like they use too. I think this new Lakers team is going to be a bust but we'll have to wait for the season to start.

Hi there Lead the way, Well i think not my friend since in this case Kobe will have tons of support especially in scoring since he doesn't have to work as hard anymore because Nash and Dwight can put up the numbers and Nash is one of the best if not the best facilitator in the NBA so there well we still have to see if they will prove me or you on wrong, cheers my friend.

And a disastrous situation this turned out to be. Howard played soft then bolted to Houston. Thank goodness all the Lakers gave up for him was that bum Andrew Bynum.
