those discussions that have no responses. no real reason behind it.
for the discussions started by new users, i figured it is a good way to welcome the new users and at the same time build up my mylot friends. also, this is my way of giving back to the new users of mylot. when i was starting, i wouldn't have been as active if not for the assistance of the more tenured mylotters who came before me. not to sound to poetic or nostalgic but it is what it is.
for the discussions that have zero responses, admit it, there are discussions that seem to not make sense at all. additionally, there are discussions that raise red flags and you know that it will be a matter of time before these are deleted. so i stay clear of those types of discussions. again, back when i was starting , actually up to now, i'd still have discussions that do not have any responses despite the fact that my discussions make sense and that they are nowhere near to be deleted for any reason at all.
anyway, like in blackhawk down, leave no man behind, here in mylot, i'd like to think that we should not leave any discussion unanswered. corny i know but it still is corny. lol!
anyway, has anyone undertaken a similar endeavor here in mylot? what were your experiences and do you still do it up to now? please share.
cheers everyone and happy mylotting!!!

New users will be very happy to see your words. Well, I am a new user. Also, I am willing to respond the discussions started by the newer user. Because everyone knows,"All things are difficult before they are easy." Every user has a beginning.

Exactly, we all have to start somewhere and we were all new to Mylot at some time or other. I've been away for a while but I'm back now and with Mylot you can do this; whatever suits your own personal circumstances, we are all different.

hi caopaopao and roadrunner.
welcome to mylot to both of you. like what i always write, it is best that a newbie reads the site's rules and regulations so there is an understanding as to what is allowed and isn't in the site. any questions or clarifications, its best that you get in touch with the site admin or talk with the more tenured members of mylot. you'd find out that the mylot community is a very helpful bunch.
really like what you guys wrote... 'all things are difficult before they are easy' and '... we were all new to mylot at some time or other'. i'll keep those things in mind.
thanks for participating and happy mylotting!!!

Oh dear Allen, you and your golden heart! I'm pretty sure you'll be too busy responding to those you won't have time to respond to mine anymore. But it's ok, I'll wait in line. You are worth the wait after all.
I don't have a golden heart like yours. Mine is just as black as a coal and thus, I am wicked and I only respond to those I find interesting to my taste. But sometimes, an angel would try to possess my body and I do get kind enough to be nice to everybody.
I have a lot of experiences and it would take too much of your time reading all of them. So as of the moment, I'll keep them all to myself.
Have a glorious Sunday!

here we go again...
'oh dear allen, you and your golden heart!' - honestly, i'd rather have golden coins, a golden fleece, a goose that lays golden eggs, or anything else that is a gold and is of value. monetary value preferred.
'i'm pretty sure you'll be too busy responding to those you won't have time to respond to mine anymore. But it's ok, i'll wait in line. you are worth the wait after all.' - lol! why would a goddess such as yourself wait for a mere mortal like me? lol! appreciate the kind words goddess, now only if you can back it up with actions, it'll be much appreciated.
'i don't have a golden heart like yours.' - doubt if what i do qualifies me as having a golden heart but i'll take a compliment when i hear one.
'mine is just as black as a coal and thus, i am wicked and i only respond to those i find interesting to my taste' - i like my coffee black as well. huh? or you were talking about your heart, eh? not really interested in your heart, interested in something else in that vicinity. wicked used to be a nickname of mine back in the day. earned it as well. so what is your taste goddess? perhaps i can offer something to your liking.
'but sometimes, an angel would try to possess my body and i do get kind enough to be nice to everybody' - let me be an angel then and let me possess you. i'll be kind to myself and to you to. i'll be kind to both of us and we will both be ecstatic.
'i have lot of experiences and it would take too much of your time reading all of them. so as of the moment, i'll keep them all to myself.' - i'm sure you have a lot of experiences. you come across as a very experienced lady! if you have the stories to tell, i'll make the time to read them. better yet, share these experiences with me. like what i wrote, let's be ecstatic!
'have a glorious sunday!' - glorious!!!glorious!!!glorious!!!

Oh my goodness, can't help but laugh out loud!
That man with me is gay. He's a close friend of mine and that pic was taken on his birthday about three weeks ago.
Do I really sound like an experienced person?
You know what my taste is. I like salty and sour. And as for you possessing me, you are so welcome to do that anytime of the day. I would definitely be ecstatic!!!

Every now and then, i always tend to find ways to comment to the discussion submitted by some new members in mylot. Yes, i have experience it, the feeling of not having a single comment or reply from the discussion i have made. A little bit frustration, but luckily for me I am a positive person. I make sure to turn this negative feelings into strength in order for me to grow as a person. I treat that as a challenge to continue and become an active member in mylot community. I really think its a great step for our new members to be inspired and become active in this community.

hi pals101.
how have you been man? hope all is good. really like your attitude about having discussions without any responses. i've had my share of discussions with no responses as well. truth be told, it is disheartening to not have anyone reply to your discussions especially to newbies as it may come across as the site being not as welcoming as we know it is. anyway, there is also the case of the discussion not really having any sense at all so that is something that i won't get into. as for the others, i'd gladly do my best replying to these discussions started by newbies.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

I always respond on new users discussion also and I like to make new friends and read their discussions and respond on it. I am lucky and happy I have no discussion of 0 responses. My first day first discussion and in first row means first in top 10 discussions.

hello fantabulus.
good for you then if you've been replying to discussions started by new users and those that have zero responses. i think its a good way to help out the newbies here in mylot. as for replying to discussions with zero responses, i think it favors the 'responder' more since he is able to present his ideas as is and won't come across as someone who 'jacked' the idea of others.
good to note that all your discussions have responses.
thanks for participating and happy mylotting!!!

I make it a habit to go through at least the first page of all discussions tabs including 'no responses' and 'new user'. If I find one that I can respond to, I'd do so just like I would with discussions under 'today's top' or 'hot' tabs. I'm especially happy when the new user I am responding to is commenting back on responses he or she got.

hi sishy7.
yeah,i do that as well. the only difference now is i go as far as the fifth or sixth page of both the 'no responses' and 'new user' tabs. good point about getting new users responding back to replies posted in the discussion the new user has started. that's the whole point of replying to these discussions,to be involved in good back and forth of ideas and concepts.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

hello there.
first off, welcome to mylot. stick by site's rules and regulations and you'll do just fine. for any questions or clarifications, you can chat with the site admin or talk with the other tenured mylotters.
as for your question, any activity here in mylot will earn you money. your best bet and the most common one is to participate in discussions. you can either start your own discussions or reply to existing ones. you can also earn by doing tasks and posting pictures or commenting on blogs.
hope this helps.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

allen the minute I had responded to a discussion with no responses I realized I was going to lose my response as the old discussion now broke t he current donts of the guidelines,. too many deleted responses and I do not do that any more a s I do need
the earnings I make. I am not wealthy but just barely hanging on so I opt for discussions made by people who do read the dos and do nots of the guidelines.also I do not have any discussion of mine that has not got at least ten responses so mayb e I have been doing something right.

hi hatley.
i understand what you said. thus my point about some discussions having no responses because clearly those discussions will be deleted sooner than later. other times, those discussions make zero sense at all so it is best not to reply at all.
i'm with you about doing mylot for the earnings. i also appreciate the exchange of ideas as well as keeping in touch with people here from mylot but i doubt if i'll have the same enthusiasm if i wasn't earning as well. sad but true.
good for you if you have no discussions that have zero replies. i have three and i don't think someone will ever reply to those three discussions.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

Hi, when logging here in myLot, I never missed to check out the threads with no responses. But many of them really makes no sense and sometimes I had some deleted posts simply because of responding to new threads. Most of them were made by new members who don't have enough experience nor members who did not read the guidelines.

hi there fulltank.
i understand your point and it is a valid one. i've had discussions deleted and subsequent earnings deducted as well because of it and it does leave a sour taste in the mouth. anyway, i'm more careful nowadays but i still reply to discussions started by newbies and those that have zero responses specially if i see that the discussion has merit and is line with the mylot rules and regulations.
cheers and happy mylotting fulltank!!!

I do sometimes go to the discussions with no responses, but I seems to stay near the most popular discussions and newer discussions.

hi there wilsonburrell.
first off, welcome to mylot. make sure to stick to the site's rules and regulations and for sure your stay here will be worthwhile and profitable. for any questions or clarifications, you can check the site's FAQ section or better yet, you may ask the site admin or even the more tenured mylotters. you'll find out soon enough that the mylot community is a helpful bunch.
when i was starting, i was more inclined to answer in discussions that were either new or popular as well. must the 'peer pressure' here in mylot to be part of the popular pack! lol!
anyway, after a couple of months i decided to improve my activity here and one way of doing that was by going through each one of the tabs under 'discussion'. seems to work back then so i'm sure it'll work until now. it has varying degrees of success though but over-all it is a good thing to go about in your daily mylot activities.
about the 'i'll reply to discussions started by newbies', well i was a newbie once and if not for the other mylotters who took time to respond in my discussions, mylotting wouldn't be much as fun so i'm just giving back what was given to me. kinda cheesy but it is what it is.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!
