Distemper Dog Virus - HELP

Last night I bought Jecky to the vet because he's coughing and has a runny nose. He is diagnosed with Distemper. The doctor asked me not to put too much hope in him.
I have search the net about this virus and that there's no cure for it yet. Except for serum called NDV which was accidentally found by one Dr. Sears. I have contacted him and asked whether there is any vet here in Malaysia especially for my home town. The vet that the website provided are all in peninsular Malaysia. That is across the South China Sea (I am in Borneo Island).
Do anyone here knows of this illness and any home remedy or treatment that I can do/take for Jecky? I don't want to give up just yet!!!

Here is a link to a web page that list off several different things that you can do to see that your dog pulls through. I am sure that you can also search to find out how to make some of the things that they list as well as where to get them in your area. I hope that your dog is ok. Keeping my fingers crossed. I know I would be doing the same thing if I was you.

thank you. Yes, the whole day today I went to 2 cyber cafes and spend hours looking up this 'distemper' issue.
Eventhough the vet told me not to put too much hope, I just cannot give up like that... I read some stories where they took care of their distemper dog themselves and succeed. i hope jecky will survive, please pray for him.
