I'm not expert with girl,in my opinion if she gives you a chance to chase her never give up and keep trying. but if she doesn't give you a single chance don't waste your time.

if she is very cute, then do not over-reach out to her. she does not like overpaying of attention to her. just give her enough attention to notice you. cute or pretty girls are used with attention. but if you provide different reaction when you are with them, they will start noticing you. and they will be more comfortable with you than those providing or showering them with exaggerated attention.
