Vagus nerve stimulation and pain

I've been having a hard time eliminating. I don't have the feelings that I have to go anymore. I just have belly pain. Yesterday my daughter gave me an enema and I still took forever trying to go. Today I tried and tried and caused myself dizziness and chest pain just trying to go. I'm taking softeners every day twice a day but they are useless.
I just cry with the pain in my pelvic floor. All I get is nerve pain and nothing works. My daughter got me some glycerine suppositories. Maybe tomorrow I can start with them. I don't understand how nothing is working right. By the time I know I have to void I wet myself. My daughter keeps me in incontinent pads for those accidents. I'm so frustrated that I can't stop the tears.
Anyone had this problem. Did it ever get right again?

well you know I have incontinence, it has been an issue for a year now, I wet myself almost constantly, the new meds for diabetes is working I only wet myself once the first big urination of the morning or not at all on some days. You will need to tell your doctor this could be a major problem or it could be nothing and the sensation will eventually come back.

I would not be able to stand not knowing, I would have to call up the doctor or the hospital or where ever just to ask. We are lucky here we don't have to pay for a doctor's visit, but even before that if we have a medical issues that we are not sure of, we call 811 which is the medical health service and the nurses will tell us what to do and if they think it is serious they tell you to go to the hospital or your doctor

I hope the sensation comes back. It wears me out to go.

I have had similar problems ever since I had to take a lot of pain meds. If I do not let it get out of control I am okay, though. You know all the traditional solutions, keep hydrated, get up and move some, eat fruits and veggies, use stool softeners and fiber supplements. Have a routine. I have the best results with a Metamucil supplement called "Simply Clear". It has almost no taste, it is not gritty. I sprinkle it on a bowl of high fiber cereal. You will get better, but I am not sure what any of this has to do with vagus nerve stimulation, but perhaps I do not know enough about it.

My meds are the same as before. Except the steroids and I'll be done with them for 2 days. My breathing meds are smoked . Sean calls it a bong. I call it a peace pipe. So my meds didnt do that before.

I was thinking in terms of lortab, percocet, etc. given for post surgical pain. Some antipsychotics also tend to cause that problem. It may be that you need something to help as you said, just because you cannot get up and move around which stimulates the peristaltic action.

I remember when my father was treated for an ulcer in the mid-60s, he couldn't "go" afterwards and the strain eventually landed him back in the hospital. I'd certainly report it to your doctor.
Or just take a good dose of the ol' castor oil...

I think I will forego the castor oil. I've been taking 2 Colace twice daily to no avail. I see the pulmonologist on Wednesday. I will ask I'd he would order me some lactalose. My daughter is on it for chronic constipation. Maybe he will order it if he knows it is wearing me out trying. My daughter bought me done glycerine suppositories so the next time maybe that will help.
