"Humba" is the Visayan version or term for "Adobo". Usually, the meat that we use is the Pork, not the chicken. There are lots of adobo variations since it's also known to other countries such as Spain and Puerto Rico, but this one's something kinda new to me. One time I was watching GMA news TV channel I saw from their documentary program this rare & quaint way of making their humba/adobo, the place was somewhere else in the Visayas region. They cook it the conventional way but what makes it eccentric is that they bury it on the ground together with its cauldron or pot for almost 6 months!
quaint indeed. But I wonder what it tastes like.

Buried for 6 months, eh? Now that's something to investigate. I like humba, but try as I might, I've never been able to successfully make one.
