Although we didn't won a gold, this is a memorable Olympics for all the Indians. India gathered two silver medals and four bronze medal. Vijay kumar and Sushil kumar won the silver medals for India. Mary kom, Saina Nehwal, Gagan Narnag and yogeshwar dutt won the bronze medals for India. This is the first time in history that India is achieving 6 medals in an Olympics, so we all can cheer this happy moment. congratulation for the winners. Sushil kumar made the history by winning medal twice in Olympics.he improved his Beijing bronze to silver, hope that in Reo di janeiro he will clinch the gold. Saina nehwal is the first one to qualify for semifinal in badminton for India. Mary kom also won the medal in the introduction of women's boxing in Olympics.. So all these have performed well and made us proud. Once again congratulation for all medal winners.

I remember the days in some of the past Olympics, when India either did not win any medal, or like in Atlanta-1996, or Sydney-2000, when India won just one medal. We had detailed news stories saying that why so and so country with much lesser population than India has won so many medals, and why India is behind? This is a great progress since then. The wrestlers have done a great job. We expected more medals from Shooting and boxing, but in boxing the players did had lesser luck than their opponents. Still, they gave a good fight. I am disappointed with the hockey team for they did not perform as expected. I hope that we will have an even better 2016 Olympics.
