Article writing is the right platform or can said as the only flexible platform while doing any degree. It is one of the best co-curricular activities meanwhile giving a lump sum money.
Its a good idea to start business among your college students, but you should consider the factor that the kind of business you start must help assisting the student's subjects, and it shouldn't deviate them from studies.
Why not you hire your friends to complete your writing project. It both encourages your students and give you a decent money as well..

As of now, the advice is free. I don't earn anything from it and it's hard for my friends to earn money. They'd rather do it through working at a job and most of them aren't really interested in writing.

Well you are doing good by writing articles for college students. But I don't know what business to tell you that will be okay for the students. MAybe you can advice them to sell things that they can make themselves. It could be anything for example, jwellery and acessaries. See what the college students like to wear or fancy. Then go for those things for business. good day to you.

wow, this is a great idea. I bet you will come up with some really neat ideas. The only thing that comes right to the top of my head are those kids that live near the athletic field use their yards and driveways for parking on game days and charge parking fees. People love it cuz it is easy in and easy out and not the long lines in the big parking lots. The kids also sell bottled water to the fans. Cheaper than in the stadium and they make good money on a Saturday for the fans to and from the games.
Good Luck- great idea you have with that topic.

This is a great idea but my area is a college town so apartments and fraternity houses usually dominate the areas close to campus.
