revisiting my diet

I stumbled upon a diet item that had been causing my arthritis to flair up in my hands. I usually eat two eggs each morning and we ran out of eggs for about 3 days. my hands were pain free. To verify that this was a factor I again started to eat eggs after two days my hands were sore again. So I eliminated eggs from my diet, Now I have very little pain in my hands, I even think the swelling has gone down. So this started my brain to wonder what else I eat that could be causing verious simptions in my body. I have cut way back on allmeat and fish and eat beans for protein. My weight seems to be more stable, but that may be just because I am eating less. Any hints about what I should look into next?

I did some searching and found that if your arthritis is rheumatoid, you are making the correct moves. Saturated fat will cause an inflammation response. Also eating things with transfatty acids, like certain processed snacks and margarine. Things that are recommended to eat are fatty fish, because you need fat, and nuts and olives and veggies and olive oil.

I do not know much about elimination diets, except that they vary from person to person. I do know things you can add to your diet that help relieve pain. You can eat cherries, especially the ones that are more sour. Ginger helps relieve paid, and so does turmeric. For some people eating excess processed sugar increases pain. Are you allergic to sulfur? That strikes me as being a component of eggs and maybe meat as well. So foods high in sulfur would cause pain.

Is your arthritis rheumatoid (which it sounds like with the swelling) or is it osteo? I have heard that nightshade family plants, like tomatoes, bell peppers and potatoes make the pain worse. I do not seem to have that problem, though. I have been told I have some arthritis in my feet and in my spine.

I don't know about the sulfur? You might have something there. I am careful about sugar and the fats I eat. But was very surprised that the eggs effected my that way.

I have cut down fatty foods and salt. The salt was hard, but sure feel better. I noticed the same thing less eggs has helped me. When I eat meat its the leanest possible like turkey instead of ground beef. One food I wish that was easy to give up is meat, as I have cravings, so I add a little to my soups.

Indeed egg is the culprit for arthritis, my father experienced this too. Way back when we had a poultry going on, we had a stable supply of eggs and thus his arthritis was ever-present the whole time. Now that we ended that business, he still got it (it will never be cured) but at least the pain isn't that much. I think diets don't really work. I think there are things in diets that causes bad more than good. Perhaps visiting a dietrician could help sort things out. I don't do diets, but I don't overeat as well. After all, we only get to live once, perhaps allowing ourselves to enjoy good meals would at least keep life a little bit less depressing. Have a great mylot experience ahead!

I used to take barley juice one bottle a week.. I am treating something in my gall bladder. It is not a stone.. When I had eaten up some food that the doctor had banned me to eat, I really take this juice. So far, with my take of barley plus being watchful with my diet and exercise make me look and feel good.
