Iam using Windows on my laptop, but on the ipad Iam using Apple software ofcourse. In the past I used linux for my computer because it ran smoothly and perfect, but after a while I changed back to windows because the programs I needed can't run on Linux. So which sustem are you using? And why? Discuss!

I was using Windows Vista as it was pre-installed on my laptop when I bought in January 2009 but when at December 2011 my HDD burnt and had to buy another one, I couldn't buy or find the installation of Vista or 7 and I now run Linux Mint 13 Mate but I will install the KDE Desktop as soon as possible and I think I will never abandon Linux neither for nothing at world!

You may had tried Ubuntu 8 or previous version of that ... you should now try Mint 13 KDE or Linux Ubuntu 12.04 - You will not remain deluded as you did in past! I can assure this!

Currently using Windows 7, but I've always wanted to try one of the many flavors of Linux. Is there a steep learning curve?

Linux used to be quite hard to get started with, but they install process has got alot easier in more recent editions, you can even run linux right of a CD just to try it out without installing anything onto your computer. If you've got really cutting edge tech in your computer you may find support is slower to arrive in linux, but this is changing. good luck with it

i am not ashamed to say this, but as an old-school type of person, i am still using Windows XP ever since i had a computer desktop. i also have experienced using different Windows OS, like Windows Vista and Windows 7, but still i love this "old" operating system.
i love Windows XP because of its simplicity, ease of use and being user-friendly. i heard of a rumor that this OS is soon to be phased-out, that truly saddened me so bad, but if ever that will happen, i guess i have to move on and probably start using Windows Vista, which i think is the next "old-school" OS after the Windows XP :P

As far as I concern I spend most of the time in Windows. But in my college we have al the systems installed with Linux-Ubuntu. Even though it has not a good layout, it performs well. In my college most the students do projects in Ubntu, the use of windows is limited.

Although I had an encounter using Linux, I prefer using Windows OS because it’s a more staple and generic computer operating system and is much budget friendly than the Mac Operating Sytem.
I am also more familiar with the Windows OS because I’ve been using it over the years from it’s 97 version, 2000, XP, Vista, and 7 versions. But still I am looking forward for the windows 8 version and the other Operating Systems as well as mobile OS’s like Android and Symbian.

I still use windows 7 because i think that's better than using linux. Linux can't run my programs, not just one or two but a lot .. windows 7 is simpler than using linux i think because i use windows since i use computer for the first time.
For ipad i use apple software and i don't get any problem from my ipad ..
