important to be marked as a positive and a negative response? I was new here so I don't really have the idea at all. I leave all responses unmarked believing that marking it won't make a difference. DO i really have to mark all responses or it's just ok not to mark some?

Welcome to myLot!
Until you reach a user rating of 100 (the number beside your username) you caanot rate. It will appear that you can, because you can see the rating boxes, but if you use them and then refresh the page, you will see that they return.
This is because rating is not only important but it is even more important that you (everyone) should know how to use the rating system. It is not a 'like/dislike' button and myLot explain it here:
http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx
and how to use it here:
http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx
Please read through those two links and you will then understand what affect it has and why you caanot rate now but why it is important that you should rate correctly once you can

We are told in the Guidelines to post useful links and those are some of the most useful links available here.
I don't understand your last phrase though. Maybe you could explain it?

Diana madam is right you cannot see the sign positive or negative till cross 100 points. So complete the 100 points as early as possible now 64 is completed. Then your rating will also display and you can rate on others also.
