My country was one of the hundred countries who was not able to receive any medals during the 2012 Olympics.
When i saw the result at yahoo, i was sad of course. I know, our countries participants did their very best and actually im proud of them and im glad that they had that great opportunity:)
Im still proud to those who hasn't received medals...
Because i know, all of them gave their best.
You are all winners guys!

Yes they all tried, but just could not make the grade. They are winners though because they tried. The losers just said "i cant do it" and did not even try.
So if the athletes from your country tried, they are better than many that did not.

My country Australia had it's worst Games in over 20 years in London, but we still got lots of medals compared to smaller countries. And for such a small population compared to other western nations, I think that we do pretty well at the games, exceptional in fact. Just getting chosen to represent your country is something to be very proud of, regardless of whether you win a medal or not.

Well, my country is a large country and there were a lot of our athletes that were able to win gold, silver and bronze medals during the Olympics. However, there were also many of our athletes that came back home from London without winning any medals at all.
In my opinion, win or lose, it doesn't matter because just by being one of the athletes that was in the Olympics, you are a winner because just being there means that you are one of the best athletes in the world.

You are right. A selection for Olympics itself is a symbol or success and it shows they are really caable to express their expertise and they are really winners! They are competing with champions and none are not bad.p So be proud having participated itself is a great thing and it will improve the chances to win for the next time and be happy.
