You might argue over the fact that most of the sayings or atleast some do not hold good in this cruel world. This is indeed true as far as I think. Turning towards your topic I more or less agree with you that you cannot afford to be slow in this fast moving world. The competition you receive either makes you fast or throws you out. Working on the "slow and steady" ideology on the other hand do helps but I guess only in some cases.
