I have a weird fear. My fear of riding escalators. I am really honestly, deathly afraid of escalators. I'd rather either take the stairs or ride an elevator. The reason for my fear, is from when I was a little girl and I used to watch these 911 episodes on TV. There was this one episode were this little boy who was traveling with his mother and his sister I think. And the little boy kept wandering off and wanting to play by the escalators. Then the little boy's clothing got caught in the escalator and the escalator started taking his clothes and eventually even his skin got caught in the escalator. The little boy was badly hurt but made it through all the wounds that he had occurred. Ever since seeing that episode, I will never ride an escalator again. My friends call me weird, when we go to the mall and have to ride escalators, I cry and just say lets just please take the elevator.
What about you do you have any weird fears or any fears at all. If so what are they and why are you afraid of it.

I don't know if these can still be called weird, maybe because given my age and I'm still scared of these. I'm afraid of spiders, the dark (I must have even a small light on the desk when sleeping), cockroach, worms, frogs and open waters. My friends always say I'm easy to down because of my numerous fears lol!

I don't know if it's really a fear or just an obsessive compulsive thing, but I am really bothered by tags on sheets, blankets, pillows and towels.
My tags on sheets and blankets HAVE to be toward the bottom of the bed! If for some reason they get messed up, especially the blankets, it freaks me out!
My pillow tags HAVE to be inside the pillow case!
When I hang or use my towel, the tag ALWAYS HAS TO BE facing inward and at the bottom!
I know WEIRD! And you may say, "why not just cut the tags off?". That freaks me out more, because then I can't tell which direction I HAVE to HAVE these things facing! If this happens, I rely on rips or a piece of thread hanging from the item.
My boyfriend laughs at me all the time about this and I've tried not to let tags freak me out so much, but I can't stop! The worst part is that I have no rhyme or reason for my weird phobia. Does anyone know if there is a name for it?

I'm afraid of going down ladder/stairs. Sweat are all over me when I'm about to go down. I just don't let other people know because I find it weird and they may not understand. I need to overcome this fear every day since I live in a 2 floor house and I work in a 5 floor building and travel by train with stations as high as 3 floor building. LOL
