This comming weekend will be another long weekend. Itw as already announced by the MalacaƱang that 20th is a regular holiday (Celebration of end of Ramadan by our Islam brothers) while 21st is a special non-working holiday (Ninoy Aquino Day).
With this, we can go home in our province and stay there for a little bit longer.

Wow..good for you asdomencil.. I love holiday too, since it's the best time to relax and away from work. In my case we don't have holiday since I'm working in a Korean company..:(
Hope you will enjoy your holiday..^_^

I'm sorry for that. That is one of the problem of working in a foreign company. They did not consider the holidays here in our country. But in return, they are giving the extra benefits of working holidays, I guess they did.

Yeah,,I always envy those people who are working in a local or government company..:( I always failed to meet my relatives or cousins during Philippine holiday.. Yes, that's the good thing because they're giving extra benefits..:)

Well, for us people who work in the call center industry, it's just another day in the office. The good news for us is we get a premium for our pay that day. Some might like it others may not. But hey, this is the job that we chose so I guess we'll just have to work with it.

That is one of the disadvantage of working in a call center especially those having their principals in other countries. But the best thing for this is you got double pay working during holidays meaning more income. hehehe

This long weekend is one of the few days in a year that people are really looking for. My kids examination will be finished in Friday, so that would be a best time to enjoy weekends with the whole family. We are thinking of visiting my parents in the province to simply relax and replenish. Hope you will have a peaceful happy and enjoyable long weekend.

Hi,
I;m looking forward to the weekend, I could do the things I've been putting off around the house such as that clogged canal down the drain or those seedlings waiting to be transplanted to the pots.
Most to the time though, I could wake up late in the morning after long nights sessions in front of the PC.

same here, during holidays, I woke up really late in the morning around 730am and stayed up late sometimes doing some crafting sometimes in front of PC.

This is perhaps the first time that my daughter does not welcome a long weekend. Due to the habagat, their midterm exams have been postponed because of the suspension of classes. She wants to get over the midterm exams inasmuch as she has completed her reviews. Now there are two long weekends and they have already missed so much. I used to welcome long weekends when I was still working for an office but since I am online the holidays no longer mean a thing. I will still have work to do. It would be a good time to take a day off from work and go out but the weather is so uncooperative.

That is one of problem of students especially those who really reviewed their lessons for the mid-term but just keep on looking for the bright side.

I wish I could do that as well but I think budget forbids as to do so. I think we would just stay back home and rest. Back here in our office, we always were anticipating for this news to be announced since the edl fitr declaration was not announced by Malacanan in their previous proclamations. But since many say that Edl Fitr celebrations are already considered as part of the holidays here in the Philippines we presumed that it will be declared later and we were right.
For now, we are just happy we would have more time for family as we will have two long weekends to celebrate with.

Yes we are also epecting that this will be a holiday. We have an Islam friend and says to us that the end of ramadan was on the 19th, sunday. This give us confusion if monday will be declared as holiday, until last night in the news, they announced that 20th and 21st were already declared holidays.
Even you stayed at home, you can have quality time with your family. It is easy for us to go home since we are just few hours away to our home province.

I know that there are still many who will go for work during that day. Like us, we are in an operation but I will just instruct my subordinate to go for work but I will still in contact with them.

Thanks for reminding us for this coming long weekends. Now I need to make a plan on how to spend the long weekends with my husband and were to go during this day. I think long weekend also will help us to cope from the sad memories that we had been through because of the heavy rains and floods.

I love holidays since it will give me time for rest in work. hehehe.
I just don't know hoe they celebrate the first holiday. the second holiday is in honor of the late Senator of our country that lead the nation to people power against the current government that time.
