It is wonderful to have a kind, understanding and a good leader type of employer. Many employer seems to be kind at the beginning, however after months of working, the true color surfaces and it is really disappointing to find out that they are really nasty, unreasonable, hypocrite and selfish person. They becomes really demanding, requesting unreasonable time line and deadlines. Have any of you experience this kind of disappointment, I hope you all can share some of your experiences here. My bosses are husband and wife (which we did not aware earlier). They are really mean and they team up to pressure the staff. From what I heard was in less than a year there are 30 staff resigned or being forced to leave and they love to deduct their last paychecks. They even intend to sue one of the ex employee. There will always be the negative stories about their ex employees as if they (the bosses) are perfect. A group of company with only five employee, no office politic but nasty employer is the problem. I hope to hear some true experiences from all over the world here to enlighten us. Thank you very much

So many people have so many stories about a bad situation on a job where they left because of the attitude of a manager or supervisor. A lot of jobs start out good and seem to become tedious after a few months. The unfortunate reality is that the world is full of immature and unprofessional people and many of them are managers or business owners.

I left my job recently because I couldn't take it anymore either. It had become unbearable and I just couldn't stand it another moment.

Dear Canellita, What you said is so true. They claimed that they are professional. In actual fact, they are not professional at all. They don't walk their talk. It is really disappointing working with them. Another two of my colleagues just tender their resignation too. When asked why? They said they can't take it anymore Thanks for sharing, really appreciate it.

Hi, I was one of those blessed with reasonably good boss. However, prior to that the same boss was a reasonably bad boss. He pressured me by questioning me of why loss of accounts which he was fully aware of. Competitors gave under-table money which my company did not practised. He blamed me that I did not know how to take care of the customers. I must buy lunches and dinners for them. I replied that I did buy lunches and dinners for them. But they all want money- cold hard cash in their bank accounts which he dared not reply and change topic each time he brought up in the meeting. That was years back. Later back he had a change of heart, probably due to some management course he had attended or he had mellowed down as he ages. His altitude to me did a 180 degrees turn. He sold me the company car which I drive at half price and gave me the computer notebook when I retired in February, 2012.

I am glad to hear that your boss has change to good. A kind and understanding boss will gain respect from their employees. People will be willing to work in team to achieve the same goal, the organisation mission and vision. I hope my bosses will 'wake up' one day to see the truth in human relationship. Do you know that on our first day of work, during the briefing, my boss said 'do not treat the factory workers like human'. I couldn't believe what I heard, I even verified that with my other new colleagues months later.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Work with someone who appreciate our contributions. We should bring joy to elsewhere who deserve it. Life is for us to live, we should not let others determine our happiness.

Well, it is SAD when so many times you get hired to work for a company, and after working there for a time you start finding out things you wish you Never knew. There will always be the Boss who is uncaring, or others in your company who back stab you, or talk Bad about you, or those who are always late, etc. and always seem to get away with it. I have seen huge turn over in the company I am with over the yrs. and know it is my Boss or the company themselves at fault. Personally with the job situation and unemployment rate being so high many times you just learn to deal with it, Pray a little more, and hope for the Best from there. I know even with the HELL I go thru I will probably continue to be where I am at until a better job comes along.

Dear KrauseHome, Thank you for sharing with us your true experience. Truly appreciate it. I just wonder why bosses must be so 'mean' to their employees. Aren't we supposed to work in team to achieve company's goal I really admire your determination to stay on irrespective of the tough situation. I like your tolerancy, as the saying goes " When going gets tough, the tough get's going'. However, I had tender my resignation a week ago. Surprisingly my company administrator resigned too one day after me. We are one of the longest employees that managed to sustained for months. Many only survived, a day, one and a half day, one week, one month or the most 3 months Do you know that on our first day of work, during the briefing, my boss said 'do not treat the factory workers like human'. I couldn't believe what I heard, I even verified that with my other new colleagues months later. I sincerely hope that all of us can find our dream job, good bosses who appreciate their employees, great working environment and nice colleagues.

Yes, I understand what you mean. Some employer really take advantage of their good employee. They thought they could do anything to you, as long as they pay you. I still remembered someone relate to me about her boss screamed at her saying "You must do whatever I asked you because I pay your salary". That girl tendered her resignation the same day. Just can't tolerate her boss anymore.

It is true that most employer are very demanding and bossy. They seems to have the perception that they are in power to do whatever they want to their employee just because the employee is receiving paychecks from them. They have to learn to respect their employee and accept the fact that they are human which can make mistakes at times. On the other hand, some employees do have their own bad habits and self-discipline which they really made too much mistakes and did not do much work.

Hi, My boss was very rude and arrogant. He used to give all the pressure of work on me and after doing work effectively no appreciation for that and took all the credit to him. I was working in multinational steel company. So work load was very much. I was always forced by him to go to Mumbai office and stay there and do all the work there. But I couldn't live there because my wife is suffering from muscular dystrophy and someone should be there at night. She was managing for whole day. So I resigned that job. My boss didn't have any kindness for others. now I am happy. My son is also doing job and I am also working as insurance adviser.

Some job required to travel and away from home. It is good to find a job that suits us and a good employer play a very important role too. Employees willing to work extra mile for the benefit of the overall company if the bosses are kind and appreciative. It is good to know that you are working as an insurance adviser. Put effort and I believe you will be earning more and happier in this industry.

OMG.. it's always so sad to hear bad working experiences. I for once, this year, finally eat this fruit when I joined the current company. I seriously has not work with a person like my superior, and after 6 months of working, I got seriously tired out not due to work, but due to the negative vibes around. I can't imagine myself being sick almost every month, and getting from bad to worse for my health. I am glad I will be leaving this soon, and hopefully my new Company is something great!

Oh dear, that is really bad, it have negative effect on your health. It is good you have left such a negative place. I hope your new work place will be good and wish you all the best in your career advancement. My ex-colleague have the same experience like you too. She never felt sick at all in 3 years when she stay in Sarawak. However, when she started working here she fell sick every month and spend quite a lot on her medical bills. She have to take unpaid leaves when she sick. She also work for 6 months there. It seems the employees turnover there was very very high, some left after working on one and a half day. My sister said work in the Government better, no stress ...

Hello Iriene I never experience this kind of employer. I've been employed for one year in my current job but our boss is not demanding to us. He's kind and nice but the only problem is his laziness. He try to designate jobs that suppose to be his work. I hope someday we will be diligent on his work.
