Do you think premarital counceling is good to have?

I definitely think it is a good thing considering all the divorces and the unhappy marriages around me. I don't understand why people shy away from it. It's like they think counselling has something to do with madness or that they are too perfect to be counselled...they know what they are doing. But see where it got most of the marriages?
