Brazil football federation (CBF) blames defender Rafael Da Silva for the failure of Brazil U-23 national team in this ilympics..
Brazil which become favourite in this tournament is failed get gold medal after lost Mexico 1-2..
1 day after the final, CBF announce the statement blaming Rafael..
MU defender is considered the failure when Mexico can scores fast goal (29 second) and break concentration for all brazil player..
CBF said in their official website that Rafael knows that he makes mistake and make easier for Mexico for scoring the fastest goal..No doubt..
CBF add, that the mistake must be corrected and Rafael knows it..But he will moves and improved to be better..No human is perfect...
But the critics from the football federation is against with the coach and players..They support Rafel..
CBF and any football federation only knows for blaming when the team get the bad result..

If you ask me, I do not think Rafael is a great defender. At Man U he has not been able to pin down a place for himself because of the slips that he constantly has. So I am not really surprised that he had this slip in the final. But I am also not a big fan of federations laying the blame on a single player. It is a collective failure as the coach who selected him is equally responsible.
Cheers!

When a team fails it is the responsibility of the whole team. When a team wins it is also the effort of the whole team. To put the blame on a single player is unprofessional and it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. If it is the case, then the whole CBF top bosses should all be fired for their failure in appointing the coach and selecting the players who played in the Olympics.

You are right; the whole side was awful. The Brazillian defense was a shambles. Thiago Silva had an OK game, but Marcello and Rafael da Silva were poor, but the midfield was terrible, the strikers were terrible... only Hulk had any real impact. But fair play to Mexico, they played really well, defended great, and showed what good football is when you take on a stronger team. The Brazilian side need to wake up and realize that they aren't always the best team in the world; it is all about who plays well as a team, not just superstars. And this was a Mexico side without Carlos Vela, Giovanni dos Santos, and some other good players.

The action of the CBF is disgraceful. Yes, it might be Rafael's fault but they should not have publicly put the blame on him. In my opinion, they just want a scrape goat for their failure to win the gold medal despite being the overwhelming favourite. If CBF still have any sense, they should sack and replace the entire group of stooges sitting in the federation now.
