I started using toasted sesame seed oil to fry it and that made all the difference in the world! I had tried and tried to make fried rice as good as the markets did in Singapore when I was there, but never could. I use whatever I have on hand, but always eggs and some kind of sausage or meat.

Current I am away from home hence I can't ask my mom and tell you the recipe. But I have come across one recipe on the web and it is pretty similar to what my mom makes. Please check the following link for recipe of Indian Fried Rice:

I love fried rice too, usually it cook for our breakfast. I always add eggs into my fried rice, and since I am a seafood lover sometimes add shrimp or squid too. I like my fried rice to be spicy and sweet, I don't add sugar but soysauce. Whenever I have salted fish I can add some into my fried rice too, it's so yummy . Have you tried add some vegetables like mustard, carrot, corn, green beans or cabbage into your fried rice? I guarantee you, it will taste so good.

I have tasted the vegetables before. I have never tried seafood before. How did you cook it and mix it in?

I like fried rice, most of the time I cook fried rice with garlic, salt and olive oil served with scrambled eggs, hotdogs or sausage, chopped tomatoes and hot coffee.

I just usually add garlic on it. But if I want it to be more special I put hotdogs, meatloaf, eggs, carrots, spring onions and a little bit of tomato sauce and soy sauce. You can just eat it as it is, without any viand. Or sometimes if I have any leftover meat dish, I just cut it into pieces and add it to the rice.

I always cook fried rice with whatever I have on hand. Like chicken, shrimp or pork and then eggs, carrots, green onions, mushrooms, peas, corn, and cabbage. Any combination or all the listed items are delicious. I cook it with olive oil or canola. I also use an oray of different spices. Ginger and garlic are my two favorites for this dish.

if we have leftover meat, i sometimes mix it in our fried rice. really makes the fried rice tasty. I sometimes mix it with mixed-veggies (corn, carrots, green peas) that's how I usually do my fried mix. I love hotdogs and scrambled eggs mixed in fried rice too! (best served during breakfast, paired with hot choco) Come to think of it, I mix almost any left overs in my fried rice! lol. everything goes well with rice. Happy eating! :)
