I got a notification from myLot, as follows:
"Your answer has been deleted Because it was under the question was deleted.
Original Question Title: blablabla "
This means that the discussion has violated the rules of myLot?
I have no problem with my response to also be deleted.
I want to know is, how the easiest way to find a discussion that will be removed?

Diana was correct, the easiest to read and really know the guidelines, but don't worry, I still sometimes reply to a post that afterwards I realize it will be deleted...

I often reply to a post that I am certain will be deleted, just to help out or offer advice to the user. I have so many posts now that even if one or two go missing, I can cope with the loss

Read and understand the Guidelines:
http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx
They are not only for those who start new topics for discussion but also for when we are responding. If we are aware of the Guidelines then we will know which topics to avoid so that we don't lose our responses (and the earnings that go with them). There is no other way to know which topics to skip.

Even when we know the rules, sometimes we let ourselves get fooled. Sometimes, personally, I respond, even if I think it may get deleted, just because I have something to say on the topic. I am glad you understand about if the discussion is deleted, so is the response and earnings for both.

a few days back we had been for a buffet in an Indian hotel at Brampton, Toronto-- They served excellent menu-- carrot halwa, gulab jamun, kesari, basundi, rasamalai--sweets -- ice cream three or four varieties. --fruits --some ten or twelve--indian chat about 8/10 besides rice and other items.
I started with sweet, continued with sweet and ended with fruits. rarely we get such occasions.

yes. it is like out attending buffet lunch -- normally we may not eat sweets that freely --but on days when we go for buffet -- having paid -- I do indulge in tasting sweets first and more-- of course when my people come around and stop then i restrict. same is the tendency-- we respond without being able to resist our temptation.

I am sure other mylotters have given you answer to your query.
Even my years of stay here in mylot never mean that I can detect or determine what topic/s is prone for deletion.
But in the long run, you will find out what kind topic/s sounds/looks like violating guidelines.
Keep mylotting and you will learn more

@ ravi,
Honestly even with topic/s that are visible for deletion- still I wrote a comment to help the topic starter realize why the topic is violating guidelines.
That's one way of guiding newbies :xxx

yes. in fact today or yesterday a topic "why topics are deleted" was deleted. perhaps you did not make a response for that and you may not know. yes. we learn from experience. Experience is the better master.

Better see guidelines.Guidelines can provide you the best guidance. You may see FAQs here as well. The one thing that I can suggest you is,don't respond to poll type discussions.Mylot prohibits such discussions.Don't resort to sending plgiariged discussions.Respond to serious discussions only.If you pay attention to responding to only genuine discussion,I hope if you post responses to genuine discussions, they will never delete your posts.

When I first started I was having a lot of my discussion deleted so I guess I have learn from life experience . I also respond to a lot of interpreted topics that was deleted I hated it . I wish their system was more updated to tell if your making a topic that was already created are in violation before publishing it . Hope in the future the system will become more newbie friendly .

Yes, that way it would have saved both time, effort and reduce the chances of earnings being adjusted. Good luck!

I also received this notification today. Some of my questions were deleted too. I understood why. They fell under game or poll type questions and repeated topics. Now, I try to use the searcg bar to avoid topics to be repeated. Happy myLotting!

I often get perplexed by the rules and regulations of myLot. Whenever I think that this discussion would definitely be deleted, to my utter surprise, I find it existing and when I am sure that this discussion would never be deleted or find nothing wrong for deletion, I find it deleted.

Hi friend, it is really hard to over come from the deletions, each and every active mylotter faced at least one deletion every day, we must read the terms and guidelines and follow it to avoid deletions, some times our replies and topics are deleted based on some reasons, we must learn from that experience

I got several notifications before, and I got one this morning, but I don't know why. Until just now I opened the guidelines and read it sentence by sentence. So many do's and don'ts. Now I know where the problem is. Thanks for sharing and happy every day, my dear friend!

I didn't know discussions about mylot reward system was illegal, and I gave my response to that kind of discussions, I also gave my responses to the discussions only with one sentence, I didn't know that's illegal, either. -_-!So many of my comments were deleted. Now I know why. Thanks to the link above.

I get these e-mail from myLot all the times. Hard to judge which questions violate the guidelines. It seems to be okay to us, but to myLot they seem violating. Its hard to understand their set standards sometimes. Good luck!

The guidelines on the site will tell you what discussions are against the rules. There is a link on the homepage. First, it cannot be a poll question. So say you want to know what people think about a singer. Don't post the title, What do you think about Selena? Post the title discussion simply as Music. That way they cannot get you for writing a poll question. Because those will get deleted. Don't answer discussions about milestones such as a birthday or reaching 100 posts. Those will be deleted. And don't answer discussions written about other money making sites because those will also get deleted. As will discussions about something being wrong with mylot. If something is wrong they want you to contact them, not post a discussion about it.

a pleasant day hsofyan,
with reference to your query, perhaps it is really best to stick on the rules. though there are times, we cannot avoid to respond on some question especially if the topic we are responding interest us.

hosfyan:
We feel bad when a discussion started by us or a discussion in which we have responded is deleted. But that cannot be avoided. People violate the guide lines given. A few members and admin monitor and take steps to delete them. The member who identifies it marks !. You and I can also do that. the decision will be taken by Admin.
A few discussions while reading itself --I get an idea that it will be deleted--many times I do not post response--a few occasions I post a response to know whether it is getting deleted.
Canvassing in any form not allowed. Polls shall not be conducted. Discussions based on assumptions or presumptions (hypothetical) are not to be entertained. a few members in their anxiety to start more discussions they do like this. For example today a member has started 15+ discussions all resembling a school or college question paper---what ..... why.... name.....
I did not respond for 10 of them. a few I responded. One or two out of them got deleted already and others may follow suit.
