Why do I always have to forgive and forget. That time is long gone. I can't always act like everything okay when it is not. I don't care if I am called selfish or unconsidered. If you can't even try than maybe neither should I. I am trying grow up and get my life together maybe you should too.

Some people use forgiveness to worm their way back into your life so they can do the same things over again and then expect to be forgiven again, over and over. Forgetting is hard to do when you have been seriously wronged. It's up to each individual to decide for him/herself whether to forgive. If you can't forget an incident it's best to move on with your life and eventually the unforgotten will move to an obscure place in the back of your mind, maybe not forgotten, but not so bothersome either. And you're not being selfish or inconsiderate. You have to think of yourself, too, and take care of your own needs to become a valuable member of society. Hope this helped. And welcome to mylot!

some people say forgive and forget is outdated phrase, but to me I think it is a mindset. I have a feeling that when you forgive and forget God has rewards for you in the future. I do it and I leave the rest to the Lord. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful day.

Welcome to the club.I use to be like that only.Don't pretend to be like someone else for the sake of others and You will burn inside of you for that.Be yourself and let other know about how are you and how they need to act with you.
