Normally I wouldn't go for walks at night, but when I have my dog with me I feel safe. Anytime someone is behind me, even if they aren't immediately behind me, my dog will continue to turn around to warn me they are there. Then if they get really close, he will do a half bark half growl as if to warn them to stay back, I love that he does this to keep us safe. Do you feel safe when your dog is with you?

Aww that's so cute and I love when dogs get so attached to their owners. I don't take my dogs on walks or anything but my old dog was very protective of me. When I was first born, my mom said he would lay under my crib and if anyone came near me he would start growling. He was pretty big and it would intimidate people lol.
My dogs I have now aren't as protective but my one dog always knows when I don't feel well and she'll lay in my room all day right next to the bed.
The one pet I have who is surprisingly protective, is my horse. One time I had him outside eating grass and he was free to go wherever, run around, and roll in the grass. I was sitting under a tree near him and a strange guy came to the barn and was walking around. My horse saw him and immediately ran to the gate and started pacing back and forth never taking his eyes off the guy. He's so calm and he never acts like that and I finally realized it was the guy being there. When I'm around him, he doesn't like strange guys he doesn't know coming up to us. He'll pin his ears back and make grumpy faces like he's telling them to get away lol

Lol I never knew they would be like that either until one day my horse just started doing it. They really are beautiful, and peaceful to be around too. Whenever I have a bad day or I'm feeling sad, going out to the barn usually makes me feel better and my horse always has a shoulder for me to cry on

dog is a mans bestfriend. They will keep you safe. I remember my dog Koby. He is like that..he keeps us safe but then we have to leave him away because he has bitten my cousin. We don't tolerate dogs who bite. Instead of killing him, we just leave him on a street. I really cried when I saw him running after us.

I wonder what made your dog decide to bite your cousin, do you think he was scared or something? I know that you really have to watch kids around dogs, they might try pulling their hair or moving fast around dogs which makes them feel like they're in danger.
