Stress!? what a feeling, many people tried to find ways in how to become free from stress; yet despite decades of studying in stress management still the problem of this word is still increasing. Though people respond stress in different ways some studies show also that it is also helpful for someone to engage in some activities such as playing musical instruments, painting, and other sports. Another thing also is the ability to step outside oneself, and put everything in proper perspective and have a good hearty laugh. I think we can't be totally free from stress, yet we can do something to lessen the stress we feel.

I am the total opposite of that LOL. Kidding aside, I think that it is really hard for people to be without stress even for just a day. You have to be positive in everything to be able to achieve that. Just riding the MRT can be really stressful as well as reading the newspapers. When I was living alone, I don't watch TV or read news, for the sake of having a good sleep at night. Just reading the news can be very stressful.
I usually divert my mind to other things though once I learned about something, it is really hard for me to take that out of my mind. I am being paranoid that the same thing might happen to me especially that I am living alone that time. I play warcraft, seriously. It makes me forget about those stressful news but I get more stressed if I can't finish a certain level.
So I think that it is just a matter of proper views and perspectives about life like you said. I pray a lot and it really helps.

Well, I think it depends on the stress. We usually think of stress as a collection of problems that build up and cause us mental anguish... but stress can also be good physical exercise; lifting a weight stresses a muscle... that's generally good if done properly. So there is good and bad stress; I think it is all in the managing of it. If you are overstressed, in the negative sense, then I suggest sleep. Sleep gives your body a rest, clears your mind (unless you dream of course) and allows you to recover. Everyone has their stress reliever, it is best to find what works for you. I did, interestingly enough, see a lot of epidemiological research lately on religion and health, and it showed that people who pray or meditate are far less stressed, generally more healthy, and live longer... not that I'm advocating religion, but there are some interesting connections between spirituality, stress relief and health. :)

Well, that is right, playing musical instruments, painting and sports are great diversion. Also putting things in the right perspective and good hearty laugh are really great solution. Though sometimes it depends on the degree of our situation. Some can deal it easily, some may find it hard to deal with.

Never, in my lifetime will I ever be free from it unless by chance I die first. Ha, that is how bad it gets. I am currently having one of the worst entire years of my life. I try to do things to deter my mind from it but them when i start feeling lessed stressed then something else pops up and to make me more stressed again and I can't concentrate on anything well. Its a losing battle.

While we are still living, we will have problems here and there. And we will always be confronted with stress. Life cannot be totally stress free, that is something we cannot control. But we definitely have full command of our actions, on how we react to stress. The activities you mentioned definitely helps to relieve us of stress and divert our minds to something more fun and healthy. A positive attitude also helps. I noticed that people with shady disposition tend to take even the tiniest bit of stress too hard as compared to those who have sunnier dispositions.

Little stress I have always. Meditation is the only way to reduce stress.
Yoga also beneficial to remove our stress and keep our mind in one point.

I feel that I have a tendency to take more stress in certain cases. However, there are times when I do manage stress reasonably well. It varies- sometimes we feel very off, at others, we are better off and manage stress better. Laughing is a good stress-buster and otherwise also good for our health.
Other options could be exercising, net-surfing, and yes Mylotting as well :)-

Nowadays, most persons suffer under stress even if someone doesn't believe it. But we can suffer from stress by different ways. It's also a way to understand live.
There are different kind of stress: the external one (for example our boss, puts his/her employers under stress as he/she wants a job done in a short time) or internal one (imposed upon oneself).
It's a mental condition we can fight against. Once we understand how stress works, we can change our mind and do not allow that anyone or anything puts us under stress, as this condition - to stay under stress - can turn into desease if it stays for a long time.
