I watch the sport news this evening and there's some interisting news that one of them make me laugh. Jose Maurinho, The Real Madrid coach, known as The Special One since several years ago, when he was Chelsea's coach. Based on the news on television, he said that he doesn't want to be called as "The Special One" anymore! Now he wants called as "The Only One". sounds too much?? He said he is deserve for "The Only One" because he had won three title in the 3 best of football league, they are English Premier League ( with Chelsea ), Seri A Italy ( with Inter Milan ) and Spain League ( with Real Madrid ). I know this is very excellent achievement for young coach like him. So, what do you think about this, guys?? Do you think that he's too much or do you think he's deserve for "The Only One". Anyone can break his record?? Share your view

His arrogancy is something that made him becomes very popular and unique. Without his statement that he's the only one who made triple in three different best football league in the world, actually people already knew his achievement. And we clap our hand if only he is slow down and down to earth. Do you think somebody will break his record??

are you also fans of Barcelona, adhyz?? Why you always looks like hate him so much and compare him to Barcelona's coach? He's really arrogant person and think the best one. In other way, there are many great coach who is very calm and down to earth such as Guardiola, Ancelotti, Capello, etc -never been as arrogant as Maurinho. anyway, Maurinho ever comes to Indonesia, adhyz. don't you see him on news that moment?

Jose Maurinho has won 3 championships in 3 differe - Jose Maurinho has won 3 championships in 3 different European leagues
It is a fact that Jose Maurinho is 'the only one' that won 3 championships in 3 different European leagues. It is what he meant when he said that. We should not just take 'the only one' out of the context and attack him on his arrogance because of that 3 words. Although I don't agree with many of his styles and behavior, I have to admit that he is a successful coach - his trophies in 3 leagues are the proof. At the meantime, until somebody else can do the same, he is the only one who won 3 championships in 3 different European leagues.

4 Championship, include Porto. This is an achievement for young coach like him. This is just surprising that he's more confident than everyone ever imagine. OF course he's right that he's the most successfull coach, but to called his self "the only one" really show his arrogancy... may be he tries to spread pshywar for the beginning of new season

He said that he is 'the only one that won 4 championships in 4 different European leagues'. He just stated a fact. He was not saying that he is the only one that can do that. Until we have another coach that can achieve the same success, he is the only one that won 4 championships in 4 European leagues.

I also think that he is "The Only One" as Guardiola has moved on and so I think this year Real Madrid might rule La Liga. But of course, Mourinho is the only one to win leagues in three different countries. But, he has not had to build a team from an academy, he has built teams by purchasing the best players from other clubs. And I think that is one aspect that Mourinho has never proved himself on. Cheers! Ram

I agree with you, his succeed is not only from his hard work, but also that he's very lucky to stay in big club with a lot of choice of best players in the world. By his achievement, it seems like he doesn't want to be coach of middle or small club. I wonder if he do some change and win thropy with middle-small club someday. If he could do similar achievement in small club, then people will believe that he's the only one. DO you think he can?

I would say he needs to prove himself on one of two parameters. Either like what you mention with a middle club, Of course, he will claim leading Porto to Champions League victory was one such achievement. The second parameter for me is staying in a club long enough to bring in players from the Academy and show that he can build a team from scratch rather than just buying. Cheers! Ram

well, I got your point. He's type of coach who train a team in a short time then go to another club. Not easy to make a consistency achievement in one club and raise team from academy. Maurinho should really try it...

Although I am against cocky people, I have realized that for one to have success a lot of self confidence is needed. If somebody has too much, that is negative for his surrounding, but maybe for him will do many good. This for the short term. In my life experience I have seen many cocky people having success and then, suddenly, having a great downfall and never recover. Maybe this will happen with Jose Mourinho also and then we will see what his opinion will be. But I also think that Mourinho is making this statements to take the pressure away from his team, and in reality he is a very nice person, like the players who worked with him say. What is sure, I will never say about him that he is "the only one" nor "the special one", he will be just a very good football trainer, but still a human being like you and me.

Yes, but you know the saying: If you are being hated by many people, then you are doing things very well. So he is taken in serious because he has good results also.

I think Jose Mourinho, although he may appear to some people as arrogant and annoying, also has a great sense of humor which allows him to make surprising statements and sometimes even make fun of the journalists;after all,the press was the one which called him 'the special one',so I think that what he said recently shouldn't be taken very seriously;I'm convinced that he isn't that arrogant to consider himself the best manager of all times,he just loves to make such statements because is not only a great coach, but also a showman, and I'm sure that whenever he holds a press conference or talks to the journalists, they anxiously wait for him to say something extraordinary, and he usually does that.

must confess that people always waiting on what Maurinho said. almost all of his statement makes people surprise. just like the way he called his self "the only one". before him, noone as brave as him to make a statement. it is no surprising that many people do not like him, eventhough for him this just for fun or even show

I have read that he is a convinced Catholic and a family guy, so he can't be a very arrogant and bad person, can't he? But I consider that no matter what, he should be fair play and be a straight forward person, even if the way he acts is in his favor.

agree, however, he should have fair play and be straight person. I'm sure that he will be much more respected by his partners by showing good attitude and respect to his opponent

I think this sounds so exaggerated, indeed if the achievements he can in acungi thumb for successfully flying in a few elite European competition. But the new status "The Only One" is greatly exaggerated. Since there are many other coaches that exceeds what he earns achievement. Examples Guradiola Pep in Barcelona, although only coached Barcelona and three-year career, but in successfully presented numerous titles, then there is Sir Alex Fergusson, she won the title for the title with Manchester United. But both coaches are still not excessive. And Mourinho should be like them and remain humble despite her great coach.I think this sounds so exaggerated, indeed if the achievements he can in acungi thumb for successfully flying in a few elite European competition. being so exaggerated is actually Maurinho's character that makes him becomes so popular. He is such as big celebrity now, when each people always pay attention on what he said. I wouldn't deny that I laugh out loud first time I hear he titled him self "the only one", even he has strong reason -4 championship thropy in 4 football country competition. moreover, comparing Maurinho to Pep, Fergie, Ancelotti, etc is almost impossible. because most of them seems more calm and down to earth
