Getting back to work.

I just submitted my "fit to work" letter to my boss a few hours ago. Although he told me that we still needed to talk to our Human Resources team, he already gave me a shift tomorrow so I'm really thankful that it somehow hinted that I can go back to work again. I was on leave for 2 months because my wife had an illness and I had to attend to her more closely. When I was about to come back to work I was struck with my own illness so my leave extended to another month. My boss wasn't happy about it but in the end, after some explaining, he finally gave me a work schedule tomorrow. Wish me luck guys!

You said it! Work is essential and we wouldn't be able to survive if we don't have work. Well, I guess we'd survive without a job but it wouldn't be easy and comfortable for us.

Thank you! I am also thankful that I get to have my job back. It's been really hard finding another job. I tried to find other jobs as contingency in case my boss won't accept my explanation.

You are a really good husband to your wife. What was her illness ? What was your illness ? I see you are a very loyal person and your boss probably appreciated it. Are you and your wife completely cured from your illnesses ? If I were a boss I would make my workplace friendly like yours , so people can afford being ill.

Thanks! My wife has lupus while I have Anxiety Disorder. Well, I guess my boss was compelled to allow me to go back to work because I have the necessary documents. But nevertheless, I'm still thankful.

Oh I do hope the new shift and going back to work will be a good thing now that all the illnesses have been taken care of. He is trying to be an understanding boss, I like bosses who can work with you when problems such as these arise. We never know if we'll be in the same situations, that boss should have realized that. Good luck wit it all, it sounds like you are willing to work but just got in three months of hard times due to things not under your control. You're a great husband to your wife.

Thank you. I love my wife very much. Yep, I think he is an understanding boss. I just hope I can get back on track quickly here at work. It's really hard getting back after a long holiday.
