Hello! I can only propose you something that has helped me as well. Before going to UK, I used to watch english movies and series, with the english subtitles on. So, I was watching the movie with the subs and I was reading in english all the words that I couldn't hear that well. This really helped me with the language and the accent, and I realised that when I went to UK, it was much easier to understand people speaking with the english accent than before! Try it + I hope it helps! Welcome to mylot!

If you want increase your knowledge in English then you should read daily news paper and found the words which meaning you not know and check in dictionary the meaning of that word and remember next time.

Speaking English even as a native speaker isn't too difficult, but the main thing you might want to remember going through are Idioms. Idioms are essentially a "check" to make sure whether you can speak English natively or not. It may not make sense on the first time learning it, but after a while of repeated use it will become more natural. Hope this helps.

Hi Yang247 Well, welcome to myLot and have fun in here. I am the one who concerns about learning English grammatically, joining myLot is the one thing that helps me learning English so well. And if you want to learn how to listen, speak, read and write English correctly you can add "Learning English" to your interest. I found there are so many discussions that help me .IMHO, there are quite a few of myLotters who are great on English and my fav myLotter is Owlwings , he is so good at elaborate some issues. There are some sites that offer you free tutorial of learning English.Sure, it may seem a little stodgy at times, but the basics never lose their cool . Here are some sites that have been helping me to learn grammar and vocabulary : 1. owl.english.purdue.edu/ 2. grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/ 3. www.tameri.com/ 4. www.antimoon.com/ 5. www.usingenglish.com/ Beside learning how to write English grammatically, practising the pronounciation also the important thing that will help you to speak English fluently. Here are some sites where you could learn and hear the pronounciation of the words : 1. dictionary.reference.com/ -- you could find a lot of vocabularies , their synomyms - antonyms ,and also how to apply them to a sentence. 2. MOVIE - I know this isn't a site. If you watch your fav movie (I mean the movie using English language ) , please use English subtitle to help you figure out what the actors/actress were talking about. It doesn't only help you to learn the pronounciation , it also helps your listening skills and ,you know, your understanding about the meaning of the statement comprehensively . I know , no pain no gain. But after realizing how fun to learn English just like native English speaker - I became addicted and couldn't stop learning English.
