Hey there everyone!
I started mylot in 2007 and earned $3 that year... After that I stopped using mylot for 5 years!! This year I decided to go back to it... but I heard that if you don't write anything for 3 months your money will be forfeited? Is that true? And why when I didn't write for five years I still have my $3? Pls answer.. Thanks :D

True. For inactivity for more than 3 months, your account is set to inactive mode. Thus, whatever you have made is set to zero again. On this context you have find more information here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#21
Sorry to hear about you case. Welcome back. Better luck this time. Good day!

Oh yes! Seemed to miss the last line. That's really strange. Thanks Lamb and I apologize Olonam.
Now about the discussion, its amazing. I'm shocked that myLot forgot to apply its guidelines. It never misses an opportunity to perform it's guidelines. Strange. Take it as good luck man. This time don't take any chances and continue using myLot. Good luck!

Olonam:
Excellent. you became a member five years ago. You did not log in for 5 years. Still you have 3$ earned by you and it is not forfeited.
Computer will not do mistake. Computer will do as per instructions. Possibly when you joined and earned it might have been the rule that non participation may not result in forfeiture. now participate actively.
best wishes

The rule has always been in existence and stated in the Terms, though it wasn't added to the FAQs until fairly recently.

Correction: It was incorporated into the Terms on 1 February 2007. See The Lamb's post.

thanks. this cannot be a mistake. this is done as per instructions given to the computer.

It is either because you have actually logged in at least once every 90 days during that time (you DON'T need to post anything or do anything else but log in, as it clearly says in the FAQs) or because MyLot have made an error in your favour, in which case, just consider yourself very lucky.
Hearsay is NOT reliable! Always check the FAQs, Terms and Guidelines before making statements about MyLot, please!

Mine is different. My earnings decreased. From 2.45 it became 2.39 after a day then from there it decreased to 2.29 after another day. I don't know why but I wondered-does it have something to do with deleted discussions?

Your earnings are recalculated from time to time. When discussions in which you have been involved are deleted, you will lose the earnings concerned. The recalculation also redistributes earnings, so, if no posts of yours were deleted, you may see a cent or two added to your earnings from time to time. MyLot's accounting system is very fair and everything will be up to date by the last day of any month.

by the FAQ, you should lost your earning if you were not loging within 90 days. this could considered as error. may be soon, admin will fixed this and removed your earning

so, this should be considered as what? if admin doesn't remove the earning, is it means that he deserve for the earning after some years inactivity and didn't login more than 90 days?

just read your url attachments above. first I got a little bit of confuse, but now I got your point. It is because mylot's terms had a change from time to time?

yes. may be the member would have logged in regularly possibly because his password for mylot in his computer would have been stored and he uses that computer.

I was always under the understanding that if you do not post at least once every 3 months, your earnings will be deleted and you would have to start over. Many times I have heard differently but have never wanted to chance it myself. But I think personally you should count yourself lucky, and Welcome Back.

You heard just a half truth. youo should have read the fine print when you signed up here as mylot will forfeit your earnings if
you do not s ign in every three months, you do NOT HA VE TO WRITE ANY POSTS but y ou must sign in be fore 90 days is up. so if you did si gn in even though you posted no thing in 90 day s you
can keep your earningsl. remember all you need do is sign in before 90 days if you do not care to mylot. five y ears and
you come back?If I cou ld only make 3 whole dollars in five years I would not stay at my lot. you must not have posted any thing much.

I would not have started discussion on this matter.
do you want to give away the earned money??
Any way i think that this particular rule may not have been their when you joined (5 years ago). This may have been attached later only, that may be the reason you are still having that $3.
And I dont think that you have logged in every 90 days. If you done that, then you must have logged in 20 at least 20 times in this 5 years, and you would have done at least a single post in the 20 times.
Happy mylotting and welcome back..

Congratulation Olonam, I think you are lucky because your balance isn't forfeited although you've been away for years. Now you just need $7 more to reach the minimum payout so stay active :D

You are so lucky after 5 years your account is active. But I think this is happen only in exceptional case.
