and I can't breath when out in it. The skies are grey and it reminds me of some science fiction movie just after the armageddon. We have several fires close by and boy the smoke is heavy.
I haven't felt good for about a month now. I am subseptible to bronchitis and what causes bronchitis? Smoke. I stay in the house most of the time but had to out in Sunday and then today. I am coughing, having cold symptoms and a sinus headache. How is your air quality?

I live in one of the big city here but seems ok and not so good. Though I live in this city, my residential place is covered with a lot of trees and is an area with well-planned and environmentally maintained area. However, such places are covered with smoke and duty skies in various places where factories and other industrial areas are concentrated.
It is the duty of the govt. and structuralists to control the smoke and the authorities have to make proper rules and regulations in order to restrict the air pollution. From your words, I think such a situation may create additional health problems in your area and it will spread to more people in the coming days. Please consult to the doctor and inform the media to highlight the issues to get attention from the govt. authorities and which is needed to get the govts. immediate action.

It did last several days. The breeze has carried it through and we have a nearly normal blue sky again.

It is a one time fire like due to some fire on building or factory or the fire which continuously emitting from some production units or from certain industrial areas?
If it carries due to a specific reason, it will last within 2-3 days or it happens for a long period of time, there need attention and find immediate solutions from the scientific experts. Otherwise it will attract mass health problems which will affect many people and you may be awere of what would be the consequences.
Take care.

It's allergies that will get you here. Goodness gracious. A person may have never had an allergy in their life and they come here now...it might be very ugly for them. My b/f is from Indiana and he has fought them since he has come. They say the stuff settles in the valley here. Mountains are all around us and I guess that does nothing for blowing the stuff out of here..lol.

Ya, see I live in a valley full of Cottonwoods and they catch me every year. A breeze came through for a few days and pushed the smoke out.

It is not very strange. In usual, the pollution will be serious in the big cities. As there are many cars and people live in the big cities. And usually we can't even see the stars at night because of the air pollution.

That is a big reason why I don't like the city and the main reason why I don't want to live within the city. There are just so many cars and factories and other things spewing toxic waste into the air that I don't want to breathe. There is also limited plant life around those areas to help to purify all of the garbage within the air.
I live in Northern Michigan and the air quality is definitely pretty good. There's a lot of woods around this area and it's one of the main reasons I enjoy living here. If I liked the season temperatures here I might want to live here all my life but I just can't stand how cold the winters are here.

There are fires in the country and the city. I love the woods too. I have heard about Michigan Winters. No fun. We are lucky cause we are in a valley and miss alot of the snow and harshness.

I am sure this must be a really stressful situation. Every night on the news they talk about the fires burning. Here is Texas, we are in a drought but locally, so far no fires. Other parts of Texas are also having fires though.
I can't imagine what it must be like. I guess I would stay in doors and have the best air filters going that I could. On the news that talk about the damage and destruction but the air quality has not been addressed as of yet. I am sure it must be a health hazard in many parts of the US.
Good topic for further discussion- thanks for submitting.

Our air quality is mostly good. No wild fires. Burn bans for controlled burns because of the drought. On occasion we have some kind of an inversion and then the air stinks, it is pollution from our factories that cannot get out and dissipate. Do you have an air filter in your house?

I'm afraid it's not too great. I live in an area that has a fish bowl effect. Every summer it gets pretty bad. This year is no exception. However, today's forecast is expected to be around 101. Although that is in the unhealthy for sensitive groups area, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I thought it'd be even worse considering all the fires we had around here lately.
On the plus side it's currently at 41, which is good. Now if only it could stay that way!
Happy mylotting!

The air quality is very good here. In Wisconsin we have not had wildfires around like in other states. A few grass fires but that is about it. We have gottan some rain in the last few weeks so we aren't as dry as we have been. Wish your state and other who need rain would get it! Hope your air quality gets better soon!

Because of the upgrading technology, we can't avoid air pollution. We also have it in our place specially in the city. Yet, despite the fact that our airs in the city is polluted we can still breath on it. I can't your air pollution in your place is terrible, I suggest you to transfer to a place that is not near in the city for your health's sake, it could be in the province.

I'm sorry to hear that and considering your situation, you'd better see doctor soon. Luckly, air quality in our hometown is well. I live in a small town, but also there're many people and every day many cars emit a lot of wasted gas. But in a word, the air is fresh. And in my school, the air qualiti is better. It's located in mountain area, suburban. Every morning, you can hear birds' singing, water streaming and other nature voices. That's really wonderful and a perfect place to live through the old days of one's life. So i hope youcan find a better place to live and meanwhile wish you healthy again.

the air quality is not the greatest here either, city smog, but it is breathable, we don't have the smoke from the fires but we have the exhaust from the cars though.

Our air quality is good, I'm so sorry to know about the hazardly experiences you're having with yours there. The skies and that smoke from the fires, oy vey! (I'm not even Jewish LOL) The bronchitis you have is definetly a reason to stay inside during this time, I hope that it all calms down for you soon there. Will be sending some prayers and good vibes your way so that it all ceases. I'm worried you might have to relocate to escape that mess, my friend.
