Loving to cook, I love a good cooking show. Especially the variety of competition shows airing today. It seems no matter the day or night you can find some type of cooking or food show on. The problem is they are producing shows that are already airing, but with a small twist and a new name. 3 Days to Open with Bobby Flay, perfect example. Although Bobby isn't my first choice for a cooking or food show, he is a good cook, business man and has a vast array of knowledge. It isn't Bobby it is the show. Anyone who watches the Foodnetwork, has probably seen Restaraunt Impossible with Robert Irvine. Great idea, helping people who can't make a go of it and the doors in jeopardy of closing, with their established restaurant. Robert tears through, redesigns, sets up the kitchen and retrains the owners and staff. Great show and I've been watching it the past few years. Now, Bobby's show, a Restaraunt about to open, with the same problems food, kitchen, staff and owners. The difference are plain, a Restaraunt about to open vs a Restaraunt about to close and Bobby vs Robert that's it. The entire concept on the inside is the same, not different shows in my opinion. Even the ending segments are the same, the staff and owners being led into a redesigned Restaraunt. I'm all for new shows, especially food or cooking, but hey guys, change them up a bit. Do more than change the host and title.

i love both bobby and robert, but i'd rather watch robert instead. just like you pointed out....robert's restaraunts are closing, they're in trouble. they have more to loose. in my own opinion, if a restaraunt is in jeapordy before they open up....they don't have enough sense to stay open and don't need to open. i'd rather watch bobby cook on his bbq pits. let robert save restaraunts!
