i read online somewhere in a discussion group that facebook will be starting to do face recognition techniques. they also said that facebook stores everything that you upload, even though you TRY to delete your account. i heard that you can't actually delete a facebook account. i know i don't post any info or my picture up on facebook. i know that facebook is trying to act like big brother in some ways. even if it's just for advertising, it's still really scary to think.

Yes Facebook stored everything you upload and have all right to used it if they please, a lot of people dont read the agreement terms . I dont think you can delete the account maybe just deactivate until future uses . I am trying not to post up my pictures but all my friends want to keep track of me and my family so sometimes I do for their sake but I may just start my own online album somewhere and lick my pictures to it .

Facebook is very helpful in our modern day. wihout facebook it's hard to communicate to our friends and family while we're away. you can share your precious moments by uploading your pictures in facebook and by posting how you feel can give your friends an idea what you are getting into. but just be careful on what your posting to, coz somtimes not all your listed friends in facebook are your real friends, some might just be acquaintance. tried to be more cautious and not divulge everything, leave something for yourself.

Yes, I put my real info on Facebook, but is visible only to my friends, and they are real friends, people that I know personally.I am not interested to acquire numbers of people just to show that I have "friends",I use facebook to stay in touch with friends that live far away,or those that I reconnected after a long absence! And I do not play games,or get into anything that will use my info.I only share stuff that I want to be seen.

I do put my real information in facebook. i am only cautious though as to what i will put in there. The more info, the more i tend to think of not allowing people i am not very close with to be my friends, besides my facebook account was restricted, and i only allow certain information to be seen by everyone. I do not even accept friends of friends if i have not even talked to this person.

Yes, i have heard of that too.. that is not a very good idea though, although it would save some time and effort in tagging photos, some people would not like it.. Since some of the pictures are private. I hope it won't push through..

I think that other sites store your information. For emample I am on one that I closed out my account on then I went back and wanted to see if I could re-open it. I was able to and all my info was still there. That is just one of several sites. So it isn't just Facebook.

Hmm... It sounds pretty scary, though.. I myself have shared a decent amount of personal info on my fb account. I don't think the stuff I have posted is really worth anything... At least, I hope so..
Anyway, with this new bit of info from you, I might just hide certain things.. Lets see. But, the thought that "facebook" is in big brother mode, is pretty darn scary!!!

Yes I put some information on FB but it isn't anything important. Pretty soon all of our information will be online, it is headed that way. I just pick what I want to share pretty much. We need to be careful now cause there isn't security on some sites. But people already use the internet for so much information of themselves, its crazy.
