Wow..what can I say - what a shame...
I want to share my experience with police enforcer especially MMDA.
It's been 3 years I guess when we are driving from international airport going home to Makati.
As we turn right a traffic enforcer motioned us to stop.
I ask the officer what's the matter.
He told me it's "abrupt change of lane" ok- fine I ask him again how did it happened.
He said I changed lane few meters before the right turn...and I said what?
How did it happened when I was almost on the right lane starting from the airport -duh.
He keep insisting my mistake and ask for my DL.
I tried to keep calm and ask him- can we watch the cctv?
I am confident because I know I never violated any rules.
He pause for a while and looks like thinking- and turn back to me saying "ok, next time drive safely and don't do it again"
What?...don't do it again- I know I never did.
Sometimes traffic enforcer do mistake I have lots of encounter with such.
But I don't agree of humiliating them too- everyone must respect each other.
Granting that the enforcer made a mistake (the video is not complete so we don't know what exactly happened)
but hurting, physically and in public a public servant is a big NO.
I agree that the motorists is so arrogant and because he possess a good position (an executive) huh...he's more than illiterate for what he did.
I always had bad experiences with men in blue- but I never humiliate any.
Hope that "whoever he is, executive pweee" land in jail.
Anyway, the video going viral is enough to humiliate him- hope the company give him proper discipline....that is how an executive act nowadays huh? (shessshhhh- tsura nya- grrrrrrrrrr)
Sorry dear, got carried away upon watching the video.
nakakagigil, yan ba ang may pinag-aralan (is that what professionals are?)

and to think he studied in Ateneo.. such a shame, some of their products turned out that way? such a shame.
Well i do agree that not all are good and not all MMDA are good like what you have stated..but then again whatever is the case no one should humiliate someone.. and in his case i do not think it was right for him to do that to Manong as well manong was just doing his job.
i also got carried away that i checked the guy's fb account which is swarmed by negative comments.

And mind him huh- he's not the only executive stopped by MMDA but we never heard of anyone abuse an enforcer like what this "super duper executive did"
I am sure he's hiding his face from his friends right now- and we can just imagine how he looks like while explaining to his superiors- whew- hope Philip Morris CEO give him what he deserves

I read a book about things you can do to help your country. One of them is respecting your officers. Meaning the police, the traffic enforcers and the like. You should really respect them because they are the one the helps you protected from other bad element.
In the book, they gave example that a motorist violently reacted when he was caught by the officer. So the officer insisted to give him a ticket, while he as he passed on the same area, he just politely reaasoned out why he violated the said rule it is because the signage is not that big to be seen by many. He also gave recommendations to the officer. eventually he was not given a ticket and being allowed to leave without getting violation. That is one great way to respect traffic officers to also gain respect from them.

Yes, this can really help in improving our country. There are also other topics there, it is just a little book (just like pocket book)

Well, I fully agree with you. it seems that now we have entered a period where there is the law of the jungle, that of the strong against the weak!
No matter which side you're on, it's wrong in every way.
No one should be humiliated, must always prevail the sense of love, respect and brotherhood.
Unfortunately these things happen in the light of day, even in my country (Italy), and looks like a runaway phenomenon takes every day more and more ground.
Such a shame!

I have seen the video and indeed it was inhumane. I don't really what happened between the two of them but what the guy is doing to the MMDA personnel was just plain rude and disrespectful. It goes to show that some people goes away with what they do because they think they have all the power over others, perhaps. I do hope not.

As I watched the video I really felt disgusted. Some people nowadays are really getting worst.I pity that MMDA officer for being treated by such wild barney rudely.. (sorry, people called him wild barney and I just think it fits him).
How I wish he'd pay for such arrogant act. Him, being rich or whatever he is doesn't excuse him from doing such illiterate act! I'm proud we had an MMDA officer like him, his patience will lead him to greatness. My salute to him!

I'm flaming in anger when I've seen the actual video early this morning. Such a shame..I knew the company well. He brought a big shame for the whole company. I just hope people won't judge his co-employees based on one man's misconduct and stupidity.
I feel for the officer esp in the video. I can't imagine how he got the nerve to hit the poor old man.
Btw, have you seen the officer in FB holding the sign "Maraming Salamat po..", smiling?
He looks so humble and sincere. He is indeed a good man.
