Hey there guys, I was just wondering what it feels like going to a foreign land and working there. My mom dad and siblings have all been abroad Dubai for my mom and older sister, Saudi Arabia for my dad and USA for my three other sisters and 2 Step mom's, I am the only one who has not yet stepped inside of a plain or been to a different country so i hope i do get to go sometime soon since i am getting of age and i hope to get enough money to settle down soon and make sure my mom retires with enough money on her hands. Have you ever worked abroad?

I Haven't work abroad though I am considering it. Most of my relatives are working abroad, and so with some of my friends. They always say that working abroad is not that easy, it really requires so much hard work, so much patience, a lot of sacrifices and a positive outlook in life. Some of those who works abroad are not that lucky to earn much and go home with a happy living, though some are very fortunate to have a nice job abroad and have a good earnings. Good to note that most people I know, who are working abroad really makes a good living and they inspires me to pursue and move to have and got a work abroad.

Hi there friend Money is there abroad i believe and that it is where people learn independence and people learn to deal with other nationalities i think that if you want to really learn how to live on your own then i think that you should work abroad and face that kind of life.

I haven't worked abroad but I think I am far considering working abroad as long as I have with my family. though, working abroad will really earn you that much but it cannot be compared here working and living with your family. Some of my friends are workign abroad but they said it is still better to work and live here since you are at your own home. Some says that discrimination is still there. But I am not closing my mind in working abroad as long as therea re really good offers.

I am in US right now although I am not considered OFW because I am a greencard holder here. I would say that working to a place where your considered as a foreign is pretty hard at first. Most people think that if you are asian, it's either you're stupid or weird. My first few months at work are hard. As time goes by it's getting better. I can feel some of my co workers respect me. Gaining respect and recognition from people is also a hard work. Most importantly it's the language barrier. When I came here in America, I thought I was really good bu then I found out through talking to people, that a lot of things that the school taught me in school (Philippines) are considered textbook English. I had to learn how to talk like most americans do or what they call conversational english. I am not saying that forgot your native language but all I'm saying is that if you are in their country try to adapt it, otherwise, it will be harder for you to adjust.
