giving email ids in discussions

Hi, Though it is a fact anc considering all everything, I still have 3-4 person's contact nos. and more of emails of myLot friends in India and abroad. Yes, though none of them not asked for a privacy on it, I value their integrity and unless or otherwise required, I never tried to disturbe anyone of them. If they provided the details without even asking them, I can understand they kept faith in me and we should keep the same to them also. All these are become a far off things as some or the other tried to exploit such situations and that is why some of the best facilities enjoyed us earlier is no more accessable in these days.

You are right Jai... If we find that we need to exchange ph nos, address, or mail ids, atleast we can use PM so that it is safer to an extent.

yes. i got more doubts clarified. not only --names, email ids but also street names, phone no.s are not to be given. Our friends have taken pain to find out and post relevant portions for our guidance. thanks.

At the end of the particular guideline in fact, myLot have added: "We do not disclose it to anyone for good reason." thus trying to make us aware of why we should not disclose personal information either.

mikyung: you are telling another dimension of our revealing email id. besides it being a guideline point --if we mention that in discussions hackers may draw information and cause damage to us. good point indeed.

Thanks ravisivan and mysdianait for that information. Can I also add that we should avoid using same e-mail address, like our names.Like for example my name is ABC DEF and my e-mail address is ABC.DEF@email.com. We should avoid giving hints on our real names. Correct? Any thoughts? Thanks

Hatley aunty: yes. we are not to give our email id or other identification marks in discussions. I do not give my phone number, and other details here from the beginning and I also do not use block letters more. good day.

inertia you are right. we can use PM facility. Mylot is good enough to give this facility to us. however only 0.1% may require email id and all that because people are busy with their other works.
