Hello there feollow lotters,
My discussion is about flooding my-lot well i know that it is kinda rude to do but i
just have all this energy to burn and i only have writing to do it with so what
do i do i just make tons of discussions that I think are appropriate to put in my-lot and that am not really stepping on anybody's toes with it, if i do it is just for a short period of time in the day right? So I just wish that everybody will not get mad at me and i will dedicate my whole day in answering all comments from now on when i make tons of discussions.

I admire your energy but as what you've said it is rude but why you keep on doing it? Some of your topics are interesting and as much as possible I do respond but I just hope you still have remain energy to response back.

hey there i always have the energy to respond back since other people do have the energy to respond back, all i can say is that this is due to the long time that i haven't been here in my-lot and i just hope that people would be more understanding since i wont be doing this everyday.

I always check those mylotters who doesn't respond back to comment that they receive after starting a topic...
they are what we call here "response collector"
And, I take note of those kind.
After responding tons of their topic and they never care to response back- I won't drop a single comment to their topic anymore.
This is a forum site, and what made sense if everyone of us will just start a topic without responding back.

Aw, sorry about it but you are the one who give me the idea where you are hiding

Personally from a member who has been around here for close to 6 yrs. the problem becomes when a person chooses to start too many New discussions here it takes a lot of time to be able to respond back to all of them, and people get tired of seeing discussions always started just from the same people all the time. So it is Best in moderation to start New discussions but responding back can be done all the time.

Hi there Krausehome i know that is the issue and yet i still do it my only explanation is that i probably reserved to much of my ideas for being away from mylot for so long but this is not going to be on a daily basis this is more like a storm that comes and goes and never something that does happen all the time, thanks for the comment KrauseHome.

If you know that it's rude, why do you do it? Another word for it is 'discussion diarrhoea'.
There are PLENTY of discussions already for you to respond to and you will actually earn more, in the long run, by writing good quality responses and comments than by posting low quality and repetitive 'discussion topics' one after another which you never have time to come back to to comment in.
You have already been given this advice in at least one earlier discussion but it is very unlikely that you actually read it because you have clearly been too busy posting 'discussions'.

I've read a few of the responses to this discussion here and I am not sure I can agree with them. I do start a lot of discussions and I am sort of slow with getting back to people but I do try to do so. I think if atleast you try to get back to them, and realize what you are doing is wrong, then all you can do is try to respond more then discuss. Maybe you could open a word pad and write all these discussions and post one or two per day, keep up with them and then maybe increase from there?

I am an early riser and one day when I opened my mail I saw a cascade of mails coming into the box. I really thought that I was infected and it happened that a myLotter had flooded my box with more than 50 topics at one go! I promptly disabled notifications from this user!

You have company!because it was not you that filled my box with so many topics. I am glad you have realised that posting topics is not the only activity here.

Until you go back and add comments, those are only potential discussions.
Is this how you behave offline too? Do you start many conversations with your friends but don't answer them back until the next day when they respond?
If you know that it is 'kinda rude to do' then why do you do it? Obviously you are not concerned with losing friends who might turn off your notifiers or who might not be at all happy seeing you filling up their 'friends started' page.

Well no offense to my friends here or my future friends here - I turn all of my friends "notify" off because:
1. I am on dial up and when I go to my mail I don't want 1931271 things from mylot that have to load
2. I am here on mylot all day anyway and I can check for myself what I want and probably can't keep up with EVERYTHING that is ever posted anyway.
So I keep track on my own and turn off the notify. I think I'm doing alright here and I always try to put a second response to people and hope it will keep going but soemtimes it won't - oh well?

deodavid if you can put your self where you promised and actually
comment back on all the responses we send you well and good
but do not do so much that you have no time to really comment
back on each response with a valid comment not a thank you but
a real thought out comment.I will not get mad at you unless you
just never comment back on my responses. lol I will give you plenty of time too. okay?I know its good to have a lot of really
great discussions to respond to but do remember we love tp get comments back on our reesponses.

Hey there hatley, you know that i dont just reply back with a simple thank you , i always do have something to say to the people that do comment back on my posts, sad to say i just cant comment quickly but i do comment back, anyway i wont be doing this again this was just a burst of energy that ive had reserved in me since i had been a way for too long here in my-lot but if ever i do loose time for mylot again in the future here in my lot again i guess i'll flood it again. Not to piss off everybody but just to get all the things that i have in mind across.

Actually I always remember those member who keep on posting but doesn't bother to respond to any of their topic I mean this is not just a one way forum site.
Everybody will not be mad but maybe some of them will be pissed off and will never bother to drop a single comment in any of your discussions.
happy mylotting

Well, everything depends on you. There are some myLotters not wanting users to have a lot of discussions within the day, but other love it as they have many discussions available for responding. You can't please everybody, so just be natural with yourself and do what you feel like doing. As long as you aren't violating any guidelines and rules, you are fine. Keep up the good activity. MyLotters love active blood in here!

Hey there Agent gulaman,
Well i dont think so since most of my friends here are saying otherwise but am still gonna right tons of posts since i cant help myself but maybe just 20-30 a day and for the time being i'll stick with answering others people's topic just to cool off the air, thanks for the comment.

I agree with them - they might not get mad but they will get pissed off... and once seeing all the notifications on their inbox will instantly delete and will never actually care to check what your other discussion is.
And that is especially if you're the type who would not comment back on most of the response you got.

hey there mylene, well good thing i do respond to those comments sad to say i just cant really reply immediately but i am courteous enough to answer just not at the time that they do want me too, kinda sad because it will be a more productive discussion if i can really reply quickly right.

I have responded to discussions (not speaking of yours, deodavid) and even though I am the only responder or 1 of 3 or 4 responders, the person who started the discussion never comments back to anyone. This is very annoying. I think there are a lot of people who think that many discussions started = much $$$ and don't realize that responding and keeping a discussion going is where you can earn as well. I noticed also that some of these same individuals are the ones who start discussions about "why don't I make any money in mylot?" "I only made .03 in a day", etc. There is much good advice for you (and everyone else, including myself) in the responses you've received here. Senior members especially are always popping up to help newbies and others who need it. But when I don't get a comment to my response I will not respond again to anything by that person. I think most of what I've said here has been said (more or less) by the other responders to this discussion, but I wanted to have my say too. Have a great day everyone!

Well i feel like i am not one of those people well for one i do answer a lot of the comments made in my discussions and two i never made any sort of discussion. And hey dont worry about saying the same as the others here you are entitled to say it anyway and hey it doesn't mean that you are copying it just goes to show that some people think a like especially under this circumstances.

Whenever I make a discussion or a response somewhere I always check back to see if someone answers. Even if I don't realize until the next day then I will respond when I realize. I always check though and try to keep up with the one's I have been active in recently for at least a week and then maybe I won't check the older ones as much or something but that's my method.
myLot is meant to be a "discussion" site and probably - though I don't know this for sure so don't take this on my word at all but - I think you will make more if you respond to your responders. Like I said, that's my theory too. So even though if you have a lot of topics going just check them and respond back...

Hey there echoforever well i should tell you that before i did this flood i answered tons of my previous posts and commented on them way back till months ago , i know that it took a while for some but i did it so there anyway yeah it is really important to respond back may it be after a while but it is preferable to be at least in a day thanks for the comment.

myLot is a good community though and we should try to keep everything running smoothly so that means, we have to make smart choices.
