After how may years of existence, I am still obssessed on the yesterdays love songs especially Dan Hill's "Why do we always hurt the ones we love?", Earth, Wind, and Fire's "Spending the night", etc. if I would ask you, what song that first comes on your mind from yesterdays all-time favorite??

I don't really have a personal favorite but I do believe that yesterday's love songs are much more meaningful and lasting than today's.Whenever I hear some of them, it brings melody and tranquility to the heart and mind. It never ever gets really old. Even in video karaoke, it is still so evidently sang.

Wow , I have the same opinion with you. Sometimes I even don't understand today's love songs. In my computer, I download many yesterday's love songs, they are really meaningful and remind me of my young age.

Totally agree with you Lingling, old love songs are way more meaningful that today's music. Still hearing them being played over the radio - and youngsters knowing and liking those songs are a proof that yesterday's love songs are better than todays love songs.

I have a lot in mind. When I think about those old songs, I guess they are all equal to me, no specific song that comes to mind... In our room we normally would play old music in the morning. Although there were times we'd listen to new ones or some OPM (original pinoy music - for lotters who don't know about it)
But I'll tell you most of the time the one on the playlist that's been pplayed a lot is... Sergio Mendes' What do we mean to each other; Fra Lippo Lippi's Stitches and Burns... and a lot of them.......
I must say that Dan Hill's songs are all best too

i am not much into yesterday's love song.. i am quite into the new modern artists and contemporary songs. but there is one classic song i still love and that is Air Supply's all out of love.

an old-school type of music listener here :D
i strongly believe that most of yesterday's music, regardless of genre, is very far better than the music of the present time. i have several "favorite" love songs from yesterday, and some of those that immediately comes to my mind when talking about them are:
Air Supply : Making Love Out of Nothing At All
Chicago : If You Leave Me Now, Hard To Say I'm Sorry
Earth, Wind & Fire : After The Love Has Gone, Reasons
and when i start listening to them again, i really feel better :)
