We usually hear and see this at advertisements that breastfeeding is still the best for babies up to two years.Breastfeeding have a lot of benefits to the child and mother. Some of the benefits of breastfeeding are bringing a perfect bonding to the baby and the mother which can make us really close to each other, next is mother's who are breastfeeding would save a lot of money and last is the health benefit for both mother and the baby.
Breastfeeding protects babies because of the colostrum or the first breast milk that is rich in nutrients, protein and antibodies that helps fight illnesses.Compared to formula fed babies which are at risk of asthma, gastrointestinal problems, diarrhea and etc.Aside from saving money for mothers who breastfeed, they also have health benefits that can help the mother.Breastfeeding helps mother to lose weight during breastfeeding and will have lower risk to type 2 diabetes, breast cancer, ovarian cancer and postpartum depression. In using infant formula, you should always have a stock because if it is gone and the baby is hungry, you will have to go to buy again but in breast milk,it is always available and ready.
The most common problem is some mothers have inverted nipples. Just like my mother, her breast are inverted so we did not drink her milk. I am also inverted and the nurse in the hospital encouraged me to breastfeed. At first, it was really painful but I get used to it. It is just a matter of right breastfeeding technique.
I have not fully breast fed my son and I have mixed infant formula because of I have to go to school. But if I were to choose I will still go for breastfeeding because of it's health benefits.
