Should percussions be included in church worship accompaniments?

it has been a great issue among many protestant churches who already use a complete band to make church worship more lively. It creates an atmosphere of excitement and kills boredom of the usual monotonous music we hear. On the other hand, church leaders and the conservative members are against using drums and beats in worship. These beats create a shaky body movement that almost make one emotionally high and they got to dance unknowingly. Whose argument on which side you are, will prevail?

Wow, many churches then would not be comfortable with the Church I attend then, as we use Drums, etc with our music all the time. Some people even play tamborines etc. and it helps make things so much better. For me music is all about excitement and getting people wanting to worship god. I agree with the scripture that says celebrate with cymbal and dance so percussions in my book should be gladly accepted as well.

Hi,
There's diverse ways to worship the Lord and if one is up to it, may use percussion instruments. However, in times of solemn prayers, it is really out of place. Some culture actually incorporate drums in their worship like the African tribes and voodoo ceremonies, they make good at it.
On the hand, try listening to the "Silent Night" a capella and you see what I mean.
