to join networking or not?

I have only joined networking once though I have been recruited a lot of times. Unfortunately, it was not successful and left me and my family empty handed. From that time on, I promised myself not to join any networking business anymore. It seems very dangerous and degrading when the network fails. It does not only lose your money but the your reputation may also be damaged. What can you say?

hi Edsonluck,
first of all, let's distinguish networking from pyramiding.
pyramiding has no real source of income. the supposed income is actually coming from the registration fees of the new members. each time a new member joins, the proceeds will be divided by the uplines. when time comes that no more new member can be recruited, then the business is doomed to collapse.
networking, on the other side, has a no registration fees or if ever there is, should be very minimal. networking also has real source of income too, it could be product or service sales. but you need to be very careful, pyramiding schemes are also using this trick to lure you to invest your money!
networking is actually beneficial for both the upline and the downlines. the uplines will train the downlines. and when the downline can stand on his own, the upline will then begin enjoying his share of the downline's profits!

I like the way you distinguished the two.. In fact networking isn't a bad thing, however some people try to exploit this and make companies whose system is based on a Ponzi scheme.
One thing to ask when joining a networking would be, where do they get their money? Even a start-up company should be able to tell you that..

Risk defines a Networking business just like any other businesses. I've heard a lot of feedback from friends who were part of this networking business. Some of them were successful and some were not. All testimonials boils down on how much effort you had given and the Networking company you have joined to.

Yes, this is the danger in the online money making world. There is always a risk of losing money and that is why an extensive research should be done before taking any steps into a business, specially when money is involved. The golden rule is always the same: never spend money you cannot afford to lose!
I've lost money online, too. Specially in my early online years my wife almost killed me a few times :P I think I learned my lesson and I'm quite confident know about what I'm doing and where. Anyway you always have to keep in mind that nothing is 100% safe, specially in the online world!

I really hate networking. At first it sounds great but later on you'll find out that that kind of thing is really a big mess. I really want to join with networking business before because I was astonished on what they were saying and since that person comes from highly respected family. My brother joined but it turns out that he only wasted his registration fee and his first purchase. I never thought that the recruiter has a brain which is like a child. He never think on what will the people think after what he did. I will never believe in such networking business. Only those people who are on top of the pyramid will earn and those who are on the ground will just waste their money, time, and reputation.

Well I don't like the idea of networking and I have heard a lot of stories similar to yours. They tend to take more money from you then give. It is better not to get into this networking thing. I better pass my time here on mylot and earn something. thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.

Just like you, I have tried networking but failed at two attempts. I got in debt for a year before I recovered from it. Really, I hate it. But come to think of it, it was actually my fault I did not work hard for it. Like any other businesses, whether you fail in it or succeed in it, there is nobody else to blame but you. You are the mastermind of your own business.
