In India a big festival that is coming "Navratra" related to God Durga Ma. I have seen lots of men and women not wear the chappal or shoes till whole 9 days. Because this festival is of 9 days.
They can go anywhere in temple, in family house, friends house etc. without chappal. They not attend the party because they cant eat anything till 9 days. Do you have such experience or see the person who are not wearing the chappal till 9 days.

Hi friend, i know about Navaratra, but in our place we will wear chappal while going outside, we only avoid wearing chappal in the inside of the temple, but we can wear it in the festival time too, surprised to hear that people in your place don't wear chappal during this festival

It is not faith but an act of being unhygienic...its okay to leave your chappals outside while entering a temple, a house or something like that...but not wearing the chappals for 9 days is just stupidity..

Ohhh friend I know you not like this but dont use this word stupidity because everyone has own right or they have faith on God. Your way may be different but we cant say the other ways is bad and only your way is good. I want to know only you have such habit or not then I got my answer. I not ask the others habit is good or bad okkk...they wear whole year except 9 days and leave outside temple okk thanks for your view.

yes i know how much faith they have but they should see the reality...what will happen when you walk around without chappals? just step on the thing which is spit by people on the road...getting the germs enter their legs , getting unhealthy themselves...making the children at their home to suffer because of this unhygienic act...what else can we call STUPIDITY? if they really have faith let them worship at their home....

Well I haven't experienced not wearing shoes for 9 days, but when I go to our adoration chapel I take my shoes off as it is a sign of respect. I don't stay there for days but just for minutes. I do think though that not wearing shoes for religion for 9 days is a remarkable sign of faith.
Good Day!

Yes flapiz it is very difficult to live without chappal till 9 days. I also cant live without chappal for more days only some hours is sufficient but some persons are follow this and they live without chappal. You are right this is remarkable sign of faith. Thanks to share your view.
