Landlord is coming tomorrow for rent cheques.

He's coming by tomorrow for a year's worth of rent cheques, and to see what the place looks like. If it's not up to what he expects, then he wont be renewing the lease next year. I've finally started to work on the porch, I patched the entire thing today, and will do a second coat of concrete on it tomorrow. Then I'll be able to put the stone coating on and get that out of the way. He reduced our rent last year for me to do that, and I am finally getting it done. I'm hoping to have the granite slabs off the driveway before he comes tomorrow, that may also be a problem for him, but I hope not. We've cleaned up all the wood that he was complaining about the last time he was here, so hopefully he's happy with that. If he does decide to renew the lease, we're going to go for 3 more years. This will give us time to get the money together to buy the place.

My landlord is also concerned about their apartments, he did not do the checking but we can tell him what are the things that has to be repair. These past few weeks when we have too much rain the roof in my bathroom at the second floor has many leaks. So I told him and last day the carpenter came in to examine and by Monday he will going to fix it.

At one point I had to threaten that the chimney might collapse if it wasn't repaired, and that got him moving then. He doesn't like spending money at all, especially when it comes to this house. I can't wait to show him what a contractor indicated about the crumbling brick of the house. This will need to be repaired as well, and he's not going to be happy about it.

the landlords don't really do inspections here, and it takes a lot for a landlord to not renew a lease, it isn't that easy to do here.
