and i must say that it was a good experience. my younger cousin has the set and since i have nothing much to do (ok, i admit it, i was lazy to do the things that i was suppose to do during my days-off! lol!), i decided to grab the books and start reading it. really easy read and i found it funny really. the cartoons in the book were good as well. my daughter read the dialogue balloons in the cartoons out loud and any book or activity that encourages my daughter to read is fine by me. i think the whole series really captures the universal experiences of adolescence. granted that some of you (ok, some of US, lol!) are too old to remember what our adolescence was like, the series appeals to the young (me, myself, and i) and the young at heart (basically, the rest of you guys and girls here in mylot!!!). anyway, also heard about the movies that will be shown that were adapted from the books. not really interested in seeing the movies. so for the others who have read the series, what were your thoughts about the books and what was your favorite from among the series? feel free to chime in my fellow mylotters. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

My son is a fan of that book and he started reading it about a year ago. He just borrows from the library though, but prefer to buy Geronimo Stilton. I've seen two movies and they were quite fun. Now i'm thinking of publishing my own diary and it would be called, Diary of a Goddess.

hey toni. how have you been sweetie? hope you are doing good. first time i've heard about geronimo stilton, i'll look it up and see if it is to my liking. staying away from some 'heavy' reading. just want to stick to some easy and light reads. i'm finding myself stressed from work and seeing that reading is a great way for me to relax. haven't seen the movie. i don't have any plans of seeing it. 'now i'm thinking of publishing my own diary and it would be called, 'diary of a goddess.' - i think that this is a best seller here. it will break records. you name it, it will break it... the most copies sold, most downloaded e-book, longest stay in the ny times best sellers list, and will be officially made a required read from grade school to college. government, the military, and private companies will also require government officials, CEOs, and generals to read it to learn the most basic and most complicated truths of the universe. with your book, you will solve world problems such as poverty, over population, and the impending economic and environmental crises. further more it will bring the countries and cultures together and we will all live under one flag and under one goddess...TONI!!!

Haha that's great, I was in the same situation maybe a year or so ago. I was over my aunt's and out of pure boredom I picked up one of my cousin's books and I must say I enjoyed myself too. I think what got me to like the book is probably the kid's sarcasm and scheming personality, which along with the animation made it pretty funny. It's been so long since I've read them I couldn't pick a favorite, not to mention I have yet to finish the series. I'm going to have to take a visit to my little cousin's house and finish the job lol

hi coozie01353! first off, welcome to mylot. just stick to the site's rules and regulations and you will do good. for any questions or clarifications, feel free to chat with the site admin or with the more tenured members of the site. back to the discussion at hand. that was what exactly happened to me, well, close to it. was lounging at my grandmother's house and saw the book of my younger cousin. anyway, it was a good read. i agree that the greg's sarcasm and scheming personality was one of the selling points of the series. i think there is a greg in all of us. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

Hey allen0187, Thanks! And I will do my best to keep the rules/regulations, I've read over them before but I'm going to give them another once over so I'm sure of what is appropriate. And I find it hilarious that a lot of older people find themselves reading their younger family members book out of boredom or curiosity. Indeed it is a good read, and I totally agree that there's some Greg in all of us. I sure know I have a lot of his personality traits (maybe too many sadly). Thanks again for the welcome, and I'm sure I'll enjoy the mylotting! (:

'...and i totally agree that there's some greg in all of us.' - indeed, there is a greg in all of us. i'll raise my hand as well and say that the best and worst traits of greg are in me as well. lol!!! cheers and happy mylotting!!!

i enjoyed reading the series too. Although it's about adolescence experiences and escapades but i think it could be enjoyed by all ages.
