i love eating a vegetable from a bamboo shoot

since this site is open internationally, where different race of human beings can join here; as i doubt if all of the members who can read this discussion know a dish or recipe from a bamboo shoot or even aware that there are edible young bamboo sprouted newly from the ground that can be eaten deliciously. but i saw in the wikipedia that there are canned bamboo shoots but not certain about the place if where it is being distributed. oh well, i really love a dish like this. nice to the taste and it is a little bit crunchy. i love it being stir fried. in asia there are different types of recipes where one can enjoy eating it. if you love this kind of food, how would you like to prepare it? thanks :)
