How to make a profitable website?

By the end of 2011,there are over 500 million websites on the internet, among them 300 million were registered in 2011. This fact is like a wake-up call to me. Hopeful it is not too late. I just started working on my first website. I am very excited to join this internet force, but also very frustrated sometime about the overwhelming knowledge that I need to learn. I believe there must be many members out here who host several websites and could be called a pro. Can I ask how many websites you are hosting right now, and if there are any on autopilot already? Any suggestions that you can offer for building a profitable website?

hello onlinebz,
I am also related with web designing and i know now days hard to get easily profitable website because for it you have to promote your site at large scale. Already millions sites so hard to get new and unique idea for your website but then also you can start but in starting you have to more struggle for get visitor for your website but if maintain standard of your website then surely you will get more visitor with time.

Nice question or discussion I think this is helpful for everyone who are interesting in making website. But I have no knowledge of HTML language so not create the site.
