Did somebody crank up the time machine?

I was watching TV just now while on my treadmill and I saw this ad for Lay's potato chips with Eva Longoria in it?!? Now I really don't care about her life but wasn't she like a hot celebrity just a short time ago?
Another weird event, just a couple of weeks ago I wanted to rent the movie "The Descendants" and the guy at the counter pretty much said he'd have to go out back and dig it out of the archives.
Is it that they're pumping out so much stuff so fast that everything gets old so much faster?

I have only watch her in desperate housewives , I think she is beautiful . Your right everyday a new thing is out causing things just get older faster .

Unfortunately while other things get older so do I!! I just want to slow time down a little.

There's been this rush to DVD in the last year or two-it seems that I remember The Hunger Games being such a hot movie, with lines of people at every showing. We have an older theater here in town (not converted to digital yet) and their shows are $3; The Hunger Games was playing there a couple of months ago!
I remember having to wait a year or two for a film to come out on VHS 20 years or so-and even longer for it to be on TV-now it seems that they're just churning out drivel any more. :(

I don't think we're getting older; rather, it's the incessant demands for more and more all the time! It's so rare to see a great movie that doesn't have special effects anymore-everybody is trying to outdo themselves!

I know - I always wonder what it will take to satisfy people soon. The movies can't be loud enough or violent enough anymore. Stuff like that make me just tune it out, I don't need that nonsense in my brain thanks!

I'm afraid you're right, quantity does not equal quality. There's a lot of stuff out there, but a smaller and smaller percentage of what I'd watch. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so, I thought I was just getting old ;-)

The Descendants came out last year, but I haven't been to a video rental store in so long I have no idea how long they keep movies in the front anymore. As for Eva Longoria, I saw her in a cat food commercial. You know what's funny? Brad Pitt and George Clooney do commercials overseas. But they won't do them in America because they think it lessens there stardom.

Now see I would buy anything George Clooney is selling!! I do hear him do a lot of voiceovers though. You got me on that - that's why I wanted to see the Descendants.
