I grabbed a few groceries today to do me while petsitting, and just keep me over until I do a big shopping.
I grabbed some of the store boughten sushi. Its not as good as the restuarent I go to but its still good.
I am eating some more now, and will keep the veggie ones for tomorrows lunch. My boss jsut laughted at me while I shovelled them in.

I would rather spend my money on yogurt, teehee. I never really tried sushi but I guess it can be addicting once your try it and find you like it? In that case I won't try it, LOL. I can't afford another addition like that. It does look good how it's made these days with so much creativity, etc.

Oh you are making me so hungry! I would love to have some right now. I love California maki. I miss Japanese food.

I like sushi, sushi is one of my favourites. I don't particularly like the store made sushi because the quality usually is not that great, once in a while, if I am really craving for sushi but don't want to eat at the sushi restaurant, I would get some at the store, otherwise, I don't buy them very much; besides, it is not cheap at the store so I don't think it's worth what I am getting for.

I love sushi! Some places don't make it as good as the restaurant, but some places do a pretty good job and it is more convenient than ordering from a restaurant. What is your favorite kind?

I love sushi
I do sometimes buy the rolls in the stores, but it is crazy expensive! There is a restaurant here that sells the veggie rolls (6 pieces) for $2.50 and the 'regular rolls' -Philly, California, ect- are $4.50. They give you edamame when you sit down and ice cream afterwards. Even the special rolls aren't very pricey. We found he place by accident, totally glad we did.

I tried the same brand a few weeks ago from Loblaws. Not bad. But I don't know what real sushi tastes like as I've never had it. But the stuff from the store was decent for my first time. It had avocado in it and it seemed alright since I'd never eaten that before in my life.
I'd go for it again that's for sure.

Luckyduck. I haven't had sushi in a few months. I would even shovel down store-bought sushi if I had the chance, haha. I just haven't had time to buy any.
Because I rarely find any sushi around here, I used to make my own for a while. Steam some rice, add some rice vinegar and sugar, and wrap some dried seaweed, cucumbers, rice, avocado, and crab together. Not as good as the restaurant ones, but they suited me. But then I ran out of time and stopped making them.
I should start again, haha.

Ha ha - I grabbed some a couple days ago when I went grocery shopping too! I never do that - but I was starving! I got the California Rolls from Trader Joes - but the avocado was missing. And the rice was really strange - it was as if it was pounded a bit because you couldn't really see the individual grains of rice! You're right it never tastes fresh like it would be at a restaurant - but eh, it's filling - and for lunch I don't mind.

I've never tried it and don't think I could ever get my head around trying it.
